I hear that WotC is offering an Eberron Soundtrack CD as a bonus in their upcoming supplement, Sharn: City of Towers.

Why don't we have one for Forgotten Realms?

The preview tracks I've heard from it are pretty good, but I think the Midnight Syndicate CD is pretty good for generic music.

Or, it could be that FR players don't need a soundtrack to have a good game?

Just kidding, I like Eberron too, but I'll always have FR at the top of the list.

The Midnight Syndicate soundtrack IS for FR. It's all the music from the Baulder's Gate games. That's FR.

Why not just take the music from Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights and use that? Do a little googling and it's relatively easy to extract and convert the audio game files to MP3 or WAV and then to MP3.

On a side note, you can also extract the sound effects for use during game place as well. Instead of making your players roll a listen check, you make the listen checks and then play the appropriate sounds. If they were paying attention they may have a clue as to something being awry, if not, then the players didn't make the DC while their characters did.

On a side note, you can also extract the sound effects.

You can? I was taking a look for those today but all I can find is the music, any chance you could post the file path to the sound effects? Also, are the sound effects still ACM files? Thanks.

You need a third party program to be able to browse the BMU files and extract them as either WAV or MP3. They are in directories that you can't access without it, so I pathname would be pointless since the directory wouldn't appear in your explorer.

The ACM files are easily converted to WAV or MP3 depending on the porgram you are using.

Just do a search for music extraction and you will find a few useful tools to get what you want.

Just look for the Official Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying Game Soundtrack by the artist(s) Midnight Syndicate.

Most FLGS would order it for you.
