| Anor06-21-05, 03:17 AM | Hi, Unfortunately one of my characters died the other day and it was a real good one as well. He had quite high ability scores and also some good rolls to hit dice etc. Is it possible to resurrect him (i got his head) and how much would such a service cost? What effects would the process have on him and would he be completely restored? Regards, Anor |

Both spells have a rather prohibitive cost (spellcasting fees included, that's 10,910 gp and 26,530 gp respectively. You may have difficulty finding a cleric of high enough level of a compatible faith. If money is short, reincarnate is a very good option (and the head will be enough, unlike with raise dead) at a mere 1,280 gp spellcasting included, but there's the unfortunate risk of changing race, you may have trouble finding a druid of sufficient level despite the relatively low level needed, and you only have a narrow 7-day time frame after death to have the spell cast. All the above spells create a completely new, fully healed body (and in case of reincarnate you even get to keep your old head as a souvenir). For more information on effects of bringing back the dead, see the Player's Handbook or the spells section in the System Reference Document. |

Heh finding a cleric to raise the dead is easy on the surface compared to the underdark. |
