06-19-03, 07:08 PM So is anyone running a campaign in Silverymoon? If so have you used the recent power struggle at the temple of Lathander as a hook? My PC's have just returned to the Gem of the North from exploring a duungeon and our Cleric has just become the Hospitaler PrC (of Lathander of course). I'm kinda stuck on how I should proceed with the different factions vying for the position of Morninglord. I know I want to use his new PrC as a way to drag the party into the politicking. I'm just short on ideas... A fresh perspective would be much appreciated.

06-19-03, 10:01 PM Why not make the church of Lathander split like Banes was pre ToT

Seeing as Eric Boyd has written in ROF that Lathander is Amanthor reborn why not bring that into it.

ie Lathanders church is split between an Amanthor faction who worship LAthander as Amanthor and are primarily LN and LG.

The Lathander faction are the puritsts who worship Lathander as Lathander and there mainly NG and CG.

To add an interesting twist the Amanthor faction has been infiltrated by church of Kossuth, Kossuth feels that the Sun falls within his Domain and is trying to subvert some of Lathanders worshipers

06-19-03, 10:55 PM That's an interesting idea Dargoth. I'm planning on using the upcoming Prison of the Flamebringer on them. They just returned from a first foray into the Dungeon of the Ruins. As anyone with the Silver Marches knows a Slaad Lord named Bazim-Gorag the Flamebringer is trapped within the Dungeon. Apparently the Adventure is based around a new cult who plans to release him. A cult of Amaunator with a fire fetish isn't a half bad idea...

I already let slip the knowledge that two of the opposing factions got into a spell battle near a tavern in the city causing it's destruction by fire (Mythal be damned)!
