Slime Lord 03-27-05, 07:45 PM	I don't know if the answer to this is in a book or what not, but since I am considering buying the Source books in order to start playing, a question has formed in my head. Let's say I play a Centaur character. Let's say I start him from the first levels (I presume all do for new characters), and continously play him through out the years. *Hypthetical* and all that fun stuff. Now, let's say he's Epic Lv. 32 (Don't do that.) and all that fun stuff again. Would anyone believe me if I say go to a gaming convention like GenCon Indy, and is there any way to show proof? lol. I know, I have to ask.
BrianCritchley 03-27-05, 07:53 PM	generally you can't be exopected to bring a level 32 player into a new game no matter how long you've played him, it just screws up the balance
Alac Luin 03-27-05, 07:53 PM	Will anyone believe you? Sure, someone will. Will everyone believe you? No. There will be some that will ask why your DM didn't retire you at level 20. There will be some that will ask why your DM allowed you to play a centaur. There will be some that will not listen to you if you say you play in the Realms (Ha, a level 32 centaur, as I always said, the Realms is for munchkins!!!) EDIT: Oh, to bring it into a game? They may not allow it, like Brian said. I was just thinking you were trading war stories.
Slime Lord 03-27-05, 08:02 PM	Well, I figured that brining any character over 20 into a New game wouldn't happen unless your the puppetmaster or something like that. My thinking was if say it was a more Epic game. Same a massive quest in Abyss or something like that where it requires Epic Characters. Given I don't see a Centaur in the Abyss. Though if he is Epic... No DM better retire such a character if someone has worked hard on them and played with them through many, many games. Given I haven't play a single one, I wouldn't udnerstand why someoone would do that to another person who has played tough and shows it.
