hia. i gotta rule i just donīt get. iīm still using rules 3.0. so if anybody could explain table 3-1 to me i would be extremly happy (this thread might be totaly in the wrong place...)

i got a char with +13 in his first attack. should he then have: +13/+8/+3 even if he is a multiclassed soceror and fighter? or should he have the bonuses combined (think itīs +13/+8 without the extra attack) that he have gotten in the seperate classes.

if so: then why is the table 3-1 devided between different classes?

Well, this isn't exactly the right place for the question, but:

The table is divided between classes because different classes have different base attack progression. In case of multiclassed characters, however, you add together only the first number of each class you have. For example, a Ftr6/Clr5/Sor4 would have an attack bonus of 6(Ftr)+3(Clr)+2(Sor)=11. Next, subtract 5 from that number to get the bonus for the iterative attacks until subtracting would result in a number less than 1. Thus, in the example you get 11-5=6 and 6-5=1 (1-6 would result in a negative so it won't give more attacks). All in all, you'd have a +11/+6/+1 attack bonus.

Note that a simple way around calculating the iterative attacks is comparing the number you got from adding the attack bonuses of all your classes (11 in the example) to that of a fighter whose base attack bonus is the same number (that is, 11) and you can't go wrong.

* * *

As for your own example, the first option (+13/+8/+3) is the correct one.
