05-29-05, 07:53 PM If one of my players is knocked prone and he gets up, is he still considered flat-footed for the attack of opportunity he gets against him as he gets up with a enemy standing over him?

05-30-05, 12:22 AM I think not. It says in the players handbook that he is consider flatfooted until their first turn in the initiative cycle. If he gets up(move action) It should be his turn in the cycle and not be flat footed.

05-30-05, 01:38 AM I agree with Welverin. You're only flat-footed until you act in. Getting up from being prone means acting.

05-30-05, 03:18 AM Actually, if the rule stated that you are flat-footed until you acted then he would be flat-footed - because attacks of opportunity are resolved before the actions that provoke them. Fortunately, that's not the rule (as Welverin indicated). Here's the relevant quote (emphasis mine):

At the start of a battle, before you have had a chance to act (specifically, before your first regular turn in the initiative order), you are flat-footed.
