| richgreen0110-09-07, 04:04 AM | Hi, I've been reading and enjoying Grand History of the Realms , particularly the more obscure stuff like bits of history from Shou Lung that I last read in my old OA modules 20 years ago! There are quite a few stories about undersea kingdoms that I guess were published originally in the Sea of Fallen Stars boxed set and I've thought about either getting the PDF or picking up a copy on ebay. What's it like? How portable is it to 3.5? Cheers Richard |

If thats your intent, then you would need to run an undersea campaign to get the most out of it. If you just want a good read with plenty of Realms background on the Inner Sea Kingdoms, then go for it. |

Are there suggestions for adventures etc in the book?I don't see an actual section for adventures, but the book is chock full of hooks (as all of Schend's EXCELLENT works are). There is even an entire section on how to run an undersea campaign, and a detailed city. The maps that come in it are excellent quality and very helpful. You may want to pick up Pirates of the Fallen Stars as well, just to flesh-out some of the surface and surrounding realms - lots of good stuff about the islands, especially the pirates. |
