I've been interested in the Realms since about the end of 2003 and therefore don't know to much about books from the past, ones that are out of print and such. I was wondering if any website has a complete listing of all FR books, both game and novels, including the older edition and out of print ones? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...

This list is about a year old, but it covers what you need:

Check the Forgotten Realms Useful Links (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=186519) thread, which will refer you to this site (http://www.aeolia.net/realms/).

Now a follow-up: Where could I purchase some of the out of print stuff as I am very interested in the lore and history of the Realms?
Any help would be appreciated.

A used book store, ebay, amazon, online booksellers like barnes and noble has a used section for those selling off their stuff.

Note: talk about novels is practially forbidden here due to wotc decision.

Thanks for everyone's help, I've also found candlekeep.com which is a great site. What books would be good to get to learn about characters, not so much stats as much as lore and history (although stats are good too). I especially want stuff about Khelben as he has become my favorite character (love the illustration of him in FRCS, have it as my desktop). Thanks again!

Is it official that there is a new Waterdeep book in the works because I would love to see the 3e stats of people like Peirgeiron and Laeral. Thanks!

As far as we know, yes. It's supposed to come out next year around the same time Ed's and Elaine's Waterdeep novel.

Your question about the where you can find complete list is perfectly fine and doesn't break the rules, but it has already been answered. The later posts in this thread focus on novels (talking about authors and plots etc) rather than mentioning information in novels as part of a wider discussion and are in violation of the rules on novels. I am therefore closing this thread.

Sorry people, but it was decided that the Novels Forum is now no more; also all discussion on the issue of closing the novels forums is now closed. Topics focused on the FR novels are no longer allowed.

For the rules about Forgotten Realms Novels please look at the Novels - Important Info - Read This!!!! (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=185204) thread.

Please do not start new threads focused on novels or discussing the decision. Please do not make posts on someone else’s thread if either the thread or your post violates these rules. Violation of the rules will be treated the same as violation of the Code of Conduct.

If you have issues you would like to discuss concerning this decision about novels novels you can (a) email custserv@wizards.com or write a letter to the Wizards of the Coast Book Publishing Department, P.O. Box 707, Renton, WA 98057-0707

If you have issues about the novels themselves you can (a) write to these contacts or (b) log onto one of the numerous forums on the net devoted to the discussion of Wizards of the Coast's novels. Thank you
