Do you just consider that 350 gp masterwork greatsword as a bonus and not keep track of it as total gear value? What about bonus gear for the regional feat Mercantile Background? Or say, the 600 gp extra money a character from Sembia can end up with if they take that feat and the 300 gp option? |

As for the Mercantile Background feat from FRCS it gives you a +2 bonus to a couple of skills, not any extra cash. Unless they changed it in PGtF, which my local retailer is far behind in acquiring. |
| Heron_Marked_Blade05-02-04, 12:25 AM | Yeah, they changed it in PGtF. You can now sell things back for 75% instead of 50%, start with an extra 300gp, and 1/month can purchase an item for 75% instead of full price. |
| Metis05-02-04, 12:37 AM | Also, I'd like to note that the bonus gear from a starting package is pretty much impossible NOT to get unless your DM is being mean. There is no longer a favored regional class, so you will be getting that starting package no matter what. |
