Where do people find the updated character sheets for NPC characters from the books?

Which characters from what books?

It's not a stupid question, but it isn't very specific, either.

-The statblocks for various characters can be found in various sourcebooks. Note that most novel characters don't have stats. You might want to check out this thread as well:

Sorry, was in a bit of a hurry. I meant any of them from Drizzt and Artemis to Cadderly and Pikel. I see people talking in other threads about if Drizzt's stats or equipment is right after Orc King, and I just don't know where to find that sort of thing. I looked on the website, but I'm probably just not smart enough to find them lol This is what I get when I try to start playing again after being 1st edition for so long.

Drizzt: The FRCS

Artemis Entreri: The FRCS

Cadderly: http://ww2.wizards.com/Books/Wizards/Default.aspx?/fr/deneir

Pikel: Don't think he has stats anywhere in 3e.

I think he wants to know where updated stats for those characters are. For example Drizzt in the FRCS is from X Drizzt novels and Y in-game years ago. Has he gained some levels/equipment through those novels? What are his stats now? I think that's what he's after.

OP, as far as I know there aren't any 'updated' stats for any of the characters. The only stats I have seen reprinted within this same edition are those of some epic level characters in the epic level handbook. And I think these were at the same level as their original occurence in 3rd edition, just using the new epic rules.

The link Lord Karsus provided lists stats for a truckload* of characters that haven't received official 3rd edition stats and also some alternate stats for characters who did have stats already. I second that link as an excellent source for your search. If you really want 'updated' stats, you could always ask for them in that thread, and someone might make them up for you. (By what's written in the novels)

-The FRCS has, chronologically, the most recent write-ups for the above mentioned characters.

The stats in the FRCS I've always taken as a 'best guess' - you can go higher or lower if you like, its your game. Those are just there as a suggstion for about where to shoot for.

Afterall, not everyone wants to run a game where every bartender is a level 19 ex-paladin of whats-his-face. ;)

-Wizards and Fighters become bartenders, not Paladins. They become politicians.
