| E'tii'stil Shadowsil09-10-03, 09:17 PM | Hiya all! :D I would like to celebrate the advent and integration of ver. 3.5 D&D (which is in my mind, a rather 'good' version of D&D). Thus, as a consequence, I would like to recreate the statistics for Drizzt Do'Urden, Artemis Entreri, and Jarlaxle. :D Making them true to what they are able to achieve in the novels. So, I am willing to take suggestions on their character levels (combined and separated; ie Ftr15/Asn1/Rog5, etc), points in different skill categories, feats. Thanks all for your help! :D ;) Cheers, ES |
| E'tii'stil Shadowsil09-11-03, 06:00 AM | Would it be more tempting if I place Elaith into the mix as well? |
| Bazcasta09-11-03, 04:57 PM | somewhere in the FRCS it has Jarlaxel listed as a Ftr17, it doesn't have stats, but that's what it says. I beleive it's in the Underdark section. |
| Saasiel09-11-03, 10:18 PM | I actually think he means your original ideas for class levels, and whatnot. |
| Bazcasta09-11-03, 10:25 PM | Ah, thanks for enlightening "the dim one". :teach: original ideas... nope have none.:D |
| Saasiel09-11-03, 10:42 PM | Hey, don't be so hard on yourself. :D  I am positive others do... |
| veldruk09-12-03, 11:17 PM | I have converted them to 3.5 myself already. I pretty much stayed with what WoC put out except for Jarlaxle. As of now I am trying to make the main characters from the war of the spider queen. I have the dragom magazine that some of them were in but I am curious about the others. Let me dig out my versions and I'll post a little. |
| veldruk09-12-03, 11:21 PM | Drizzt: LA+2/ Ftr 14/ Bbn 1/ Rgr 1 Artemis: LA+4/ Ftr 12/ Rog 6 (LA is for shade template) Jarlaxle: LA+2/ Ftr 12/ Rog 8 Well thats that in a nut shell |
| Israfel66609-13-03, 09:59 AM | I'm a PrC freak :D And I usually favor making 20th-level builds, and I NEVER give my characters XP penalties! Drizzt Do'Urden - drow Fighter 6 / Weapon Master (scimitar) 5 / Ranger 7 / Holy Liberator of Mielikki 2 Artemis Entreri - shade Fighter 8 / Rogue 5 / Assassin 1 / Shadowdancer 2 / Duelist 4 Jarlaxle - drow Fighter 4 / Rogue 3 / Duelist 8 / Spymaster 5 |
| Thorik_Brightaxe09-13-03, 05:35 PM | So what is Artie's dagger anyways? |
| ElGrecoETAC09-14-03, 12:48 PM | Well, in D&D terms it was always a Defender +4. In recent novels, it has demonstrated a Vampiric property--in the sense that Artemis recovers "hit points" by wounding/killing his opponents and drawing their life force. UNLIKE a simple Vampiric weapon, or even the more powerful Lifestealer variety, however, Artemis' dagger grants him the ability to drain wounded foes from a DISTANCE, even after the battle is over... Stat wise or novel wise, it is an insane weapon. Paired with Charon's Claw, they make for a swordsman's wet dream. ;) |
| SexyBeholder10-16-03, 09:58 AM | drizzt lvl 16 ranger... in honor of baldur's gate :) |
