| Arravis07-24-03, 04:35 PM | Anyone have any information (or know where I can find some) on the temple of Illmater that was in Phlan? This is the famous (infamous) temple of Bane that was first introduced in the Pool of Radiance CRPG; it was orignally a temple of Illmater. I'm looking for any details on the temple... there doesn't seem to be much on it out there. Well, thank you very much guys! :) |

Well, thank you very much guys! :) Ruins of Adventure has a map and a little info, but it's dated since it is a sourcebook that went with the Pools of Games. However, it might still have some info you can use. The Moonsea sourcebook doesn't help much either. All it says as far as I see is that there is a temple of Bane on the outskirts of Phlan. |
| Arravis07-24-03, 04:57 PM | Yeah, I have those books and there's too little info on it. I suspect there simply is no info on it :(. |
| Dargoth07-24-03, 06:47 PM | Im pretty sure its no longer a Temple of Ilmater, I think after it was cleared it was reconcecrated as a Temple of Tyr. More info on Phalan can be found in the following novels Pool of Radience Pools of Darkness Pools of Twilight There fairly old books but Amazon claims to be able to ship them in 1-2 days |
| Iakhovas07-24-03, 07:21 PM | The large temple across the Stojanow River, was originally a Temple devoted to Tyr before it was converted to Bane. There were, however, three shrines in "Civilized" Phlan dedicated to Sune, Tempus, Illmater. |

The only other source I can think of that might have more info (even though it might be the same info that's in Ruins of Adventure) is the old manuals that came with the games or the hint books. However, good luck finding them :) |

The file is 61KB. |

However I don't need them, but maybe the poster does, since, I still have the manuals and hintbooks themselves. Gods im REALLY showing my age here. :). Love live the Com64 also! hahaha. |

Well, according to Ruins of Adventure and the Pool of Radience CRPG (which I beleive was made official cannon), it is described as having once been a temple of Illmater, not of Tyr. The Waiting, the temple of Tyr is in downtown "Civilized" Phlan, not in the area across the river (River & Kovel Wards). Iakhovas, the old docs look great btw, haven't had a chance to read through them yet though :) |
