My group decided last night to reroll and start anew which is always fun. The problem I'm having is they want to play in Tethyr and I am absolutely stumped for low level ideas that will show what makes Thethyr different from the Silver Marches and Cormyr which is where they're used to playing.

The main difference between the three locales, in my opinion is:

1. Cormyr: A long-established kingdom going through some tough times.

2. Silver Marches: A new kingdom coming into it's own.

3. Tethyr: A long established kingdom that was destroyed by civil war and is being rebuilt...and all the hassles that come along with it.

Tethyr has amazing options. Political intrigue, roaming monsters, those that don't want the new monarchy to succeed, agents of other countries trying to swing things their way, the tension with Amn over the cities that have jumped ship to Tethyr. It's a great place for a long-term game as the players carve out their own barony.

I agree that Tethyr could be a great place to campaign. The have been some great sourcebooks in years past on the place.
