Alzrius 11-02-03, 01:16 AM	The errata file for the ELH is out, and it makes a few changes to Elminster and a couple of the other Chosen of Mystra...nothing major though. perfectcrime 11-04-03, 09:12 AM	Hey Gad, not sure about the Aristocrat levels, but the rest of it sounds right. His parents died too early for him to benefit from leveling in Aristocrat, no?
The Spellcasting Sorcerer 11-05-03, 01:10 PM	His parents, despite being secret royaly, lived as regular people. So he should switch the two levels of aristocrat for one level of commoner (to reflect when he was a shepherd boy) and one level of fighter (for when he was a bandit). I agree with everything else.
Gadodel 11-06-03, 03:19 AM	Well, I have not read the Novels; so *my* Elminster is based off of what I've read in the game or in Dragon over the years...So, I have tried to use sources closer to "canon". *Closer* being the operative word there.

I agree with everything else. being a bandit, would be similar to a regular militia in training, thus giving him warrior level, not fighter level...
The Simbul 11-07-03, 03:57 AM	I find it funny that WoTC's way for "fixing" Elminster and Alustriel was to change their 9th level Spell Immunity from Timestop to Tempral Statis....the irony of that being that it is still wrong under the 3.5 rules, being that Temporal Statis is now an 8th level spell... :P I also find it a bit redundant and silly that Storm and The Simbul both took Circle of Death as a Spell Immunity, considering the fact that Circle of Death cant affect creatures with more than 9 HD, and chances are Storm and The Simbul did not fully become Chosen (with all the associated powers and benefits) when they were level 9 or lower... Its also a bit redundant for The Simbul and Alustriel to have Disintegrate as a Spell Immunity since all Chosen of Mystra have natural immunity to all forms or Disintegration as an Extraoridinary ability.
