I was wondering if some of you FR history buffs could help me out with something:

When was the Downfall of Illefarn? The FR Campaign Sourcebook says that the Crown Wars ended in -9,000, and that the survivors were the Kingdoms of Elves called the Kelmotir and the Illefarn. Does it ever say when these Elven Kingdoms fell?

In my campaign, we are trying to weave an intricate story thread that would involve one of the characters, who is the last ruler of Illefarn...but obviously it would be helpful to know when that would be.

Any help?

Thanks a bunch.
Rock.

Keltormir fell in -8500 according to Cormanthyr. It split into the Wyrmwood, Darthiir Wood (Modern: Forest of Mir) and the Forest of Tethir.

Illefarn I have no idea on when it fell.

IF you can find it, search for a copy of "under Illefarn" a 1st edition FR module. one of the earliest, to be honest. it gives a lil bit of background on it, but my memory is very fuzzy.

i believe illefarn was a racial-alliance-empire. involving dwarves, elves and humans? or possibly just dwarf/elf. the gm background says why it fell, and what happened afterwards. i think the elves that remained ended up wild elves, for example. some of them were still around. i don't have dates either, unfortunately =/

perhaps the arcane age elf book?

Illefarn was formally dissolved in the Year of the Cantobele Stalking (342 DR) at the last Council of Illefarn. It effectively collapsed centuries before that.

Yeah, what he said.:)

Illefarn as a consolidated realm began to fragment c. -1100DR when it's capital Aelinthaldaar (at the site of present-day Waterdeep) was razed by High Magic and a Retreat to Evermeet was started.
