The fate of Tilverton [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-06-04, 10:03 PM I am creating a sorcerer character that escaped from tilverton, and would like to know what happened to this city.

Note: If this is in approprite for these fourms because of the novel discussion rules, I appoligize in advance.

Most of this is in the Player's Guide to Faerun.

Vangerdahast's War Wizard forces fought with a group of Shadovar led by Rivalen Tanthul (one of Telamont's sons and the High Priest of Shar) - who was destroyed in the attack; as were both armies (though not Vangeradhast), and all of Tilverton, which is now a huge crater.

No one knows what's down there, but some sort of shadow-creatures are suspected. Might it be a portal to somewhere else?

The people of Cormyr are attempting to make a new Tilverton some miles away, but many of the workers are often found dead, torn apart by... something. Who knows?

I've just been glancing through the 'Shadowdale' adventure (an old one set in the time of troubles) and it mentions "Something is killing Tilvertonians. Something strong enough to tear its victims limb from limb. Something that eats humans. It hunts by night, always slaying those who are out-of-doors, and alone." Strange :)
