| Timmytowa1710-30-03, 11:30 PM | I believe this to be a means of nothing more than a way for wizards to get more money off the simple minded folk who will rush out and buy the new 3.5, when they have the first version right there in their hand. I recently went to B&N and read through the new MM and the DMG and the PHB. The MM has the monsters the monster from MoP and others. So in otherwords, it has the monsters in it, it should have had in the first place! THe same goes for the DMG and the PHB, they just keep coming out with more and more rule books, next there will be v4.0 and then 5.0 and where does it end? AS long as ppl keep buying the new rule books, they'll keep makin them. Just thought I'd throw in my two cents.:D |

| The White Sorcerer10-31-03, 02:27 AM | Well hot diggidy (sp?) damn, we finally get a completely new, original, and totally FR-related topic here. :nonono: One of the "3.5 sucks" arguments I'm sick of is the "They should've got it right the first time." Yeah, they should have, that would've been ideal, but was it possible? If they would've tried to make it "perfect," the game would never have been released. |
| Rick Day10-31-03, 09:52 AM | Im more in favor of releasing errata books than whole new core books. |
| realmprotector10-31-03, 10:40 AM | I'm already standing in line for 4.0 |

| WizO_BigSister11-01-03, 07:45 AM | This subject was discussed in great detail earlier in the year. However we have a lot of new and active members since then. The subject really belongs over on the D&D General boards but I am aware man of the new members just stick to the Realms Forums. I am happy for this discussion to continue so long as 1/. It is confined to a single thread 2/. People post about how the new additions affect Realms related themes 3/. We stay polite and civilised. |

| Rick Day11-01-03, 10:24 AM | Of course Big Sister. I my self am just now returning to the game after a three year hiatus. I bought the 3E books and had a small campaign(two month) Then got transfered to a diffeent state. I go to get back in to the game and am faced with the situation of having to buy three more core books. well not really having to, but I like to keep abrest of things. So anyway, I dont know the rules for 3.5 at all yet. But I wouldnt think that they would be all that different than 3e would they? |
| Ka'loss11-02-03, 06:58 AM | The biggest changes were the damage reduction system and some of the core class - Dizzit's ranger levels now give him some cool abilites, not killer, but pretty good. Playing last night showed how the new DR system is different - 2 bone devils, no 'holy' speical abilities on weapons and so their DR 10 stayed the whole battle, lasted a lot longer than it should have (especially for 10th party on average!!). | Vornth11-04-03, 03:05 AM | Hiya Folks. My question is this:- Given the fact that we're just starting out with 3.5, is FR a good campaign to start with - and hopefully be playing for a very long time? Edit: Sorry guys, this obviously wasn't the best place to post this - I've redone it elsewhere. Blessings. Vornth |
