is the pech mentioned anywhere in 3.0 or 3.5. It was in one of R.A. Salvatores books as the character clacker, and I looked it up on the internet a while ago and just got info on it from 1st edition. Did they re-print it in a newer version or did they just forget about it?

The Pech were orignally in the 2ed MM2, IIRC.

My guess is that the would either be in the 3ed MM2, or perhaps even in MoP, as the Pech were natives of the Elemental Plane of Earth.

Not sure, as I have neither of those books, but they're logical enough places to start.

Actually the Pech originally appeared in the 1st edition module S4 The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth and then later in the 1st edition Monster Manual 2 (along with many creatures that were in S4's Monsters and Magical Items booklet 2). They haven't yet appeared in any WoTC 3(.5)E supplements. However they do appear in all their 3E glory in Necromancer Game's Tome of Horrors (pg212) as well as many other monster that haven't yet been converted to 3(.5) edition from 1E and 2E D&D. Also the Necromancer Games version is Open Content and can be used by other d20 publishers. Hope that helps:D

Yep, indeed, it's in the ToH.

The Dire Corbies (Salvatore used them in the same trilogies) are also there, by the way. But the hooked claw monster is in the MM2, and the Elder Brain will be in Underdark, but is nowhere for now.

Just go to http://necromancergames.com/ and click on the product link and scroll down you'll find a description of Tome of Horrors. You'll probably like Necromancer Game's products alot if you like the feel of 1st edition D&D, but want to play with the 3E(.5) rules.
