maynardjkeenan 10-03-04, 03:31 PM	As the title suggests, I just came up with what could become an interresting campaign. And maybe some of you could help me elaborate on this idea. The Elves have gotten a calling from their gods, or maybe just decided for themselves, that the Retreat should end and they shall return to Faerūn. Possibilities are that mankind is too stupid and shortsighted to care for Faerūn, or along those lines. The campaign starts in one of the Dales, probably Shadowdale, as it seems to be the hub of everything in that area. Every leader in the area have been sent an elven messenger that says the elves will resettle Cormanthor with full force and the dales must stop all logging activity in the forest (they can only log around their respective towns). Anyway, just an idea. Anyone have any ideas about interresting things that might happen?
mallemout 10-03-04, 04:12 PM	Well, two things immediately pop up in my head which need to be fledged out but hey, here they are: -myth drannor -drow the first one, well, it was created by the elves maybe they rebuild it again or something, I'm sure things can be done with this interesting site the second, well, obviously, drow and elves are not friends and a full force elven contingent back in cormanthor must make for some heavy battling among the elves and drow. Players could of course get in between these struggles or something along those lines.

Is Drannor still a hive of fiends and other poopies? And the folk from the Moonsea? How will they fart about if elves started pouring into Cormanthor?

Actually the retreat is over and the elves are coming back. In part due to drow realizing the elves are gone are starting take over what once was the elves old homelands. And also in part due to the fact that the retreat failed because the drow found a way to infiltrate Evermeet. ;)

Skavenbrew 10-03-04, 09:00 PM	I think this definitely has posibilities for a great campaign. yes, the elves still make their presense known in the Forgottten Realms, but it sounds like you mean for them to come back with a vengance, open war. Let me know if I'm wrong, but the elves taking back their land because makind is abusing it, and taking it back in anger sounds very interesting.... elves have been the "passive" race in just about every world for decades, it's about time they got crazy. Just my copper penny, let me know where i'm wrong....
