| Maskanodel07-04-03, 08:18 PM | How do you guys think the City of Shade matches up against the Githyanki invasion force described in the "Incursion" articles? |
| Gadodel07-04-03, 08:28 PM | Where's the battlefield? The Prime? The Astral? The Plane of Shadow? |
| Maskanodel07-04-03, 08:36 PM | Hmmmm.....let's say they're fighting somewhere in the Western Heartlands. So the Prime Material plane. |
| Gadodel07-04-03, 08:44 PM | Well...let's see. The Shades are considered a new, serious threat to all of The Realms. They are not as strong in daylight. They do not have too many official allies, as of yet. The Githyanki are not necessarily "welcomed", but they have a better rep. Particularly in dealings against The Illithid. They have some allies, Red Dragons in particular. To be honest, both sides have so many enemies and not to many allies that the wheeling and dealing and political games would be the deciding factor. I'd go with The Githyanki simply because of their population and because The Shades have already worn out their welcome on Toril... |

| Maskanodel07-05-03, 10:36 AM | If they were smart, they'd wait until the githyanki beat the Shades, and then try to take them out. But with the githyankis mix of magic and psionics, I'd have to go with them over the Phaerimm if it came down to a scrap. |
