| Petrankov03-28-06, 11:50 AM | For some reason I always thought Dragonspear Castle and Hellgate Keep were the same thing and Dragonspear was renamed Hellgate after the forces there had been defeated. Having obained both products and scanning real quick I realize (I think) that is not the case. Where are these two places located in the Realms, I think Hellgate is in the North somewhat close to Waterdeep. Also in what year is the module Hordes of Dragonspear supposed to take place? I know it is after the Time of Troubles just not sure exactly when. Thanks for the clarification. :embarrass |

Not sure on the timing; I started basing campaigns out of Daggerford, which was the base camp for the Dragonspear war, in 1st edition, so that was pre-ToT. Hordes came out in 2nd edition, and Duke Pwyll is still around, so, maybe 10 years post-ToT? There are people around in Daggerford for Hordes who were around for the first battle where Pwyll's father was killed. Daggerford is detailed in Under Illefarn, and a google search on daggerford should take you to several campaign sites with more information than you'll need for that part of your question. |
