E. Ravenwood 06-27-06, 02:56 PM	SOme of you may know that I'm about to start a Time of Troubles campaign from my previous thread, but I have a few questions. For one, I know that divine magic fizzles altogether unless you're so many feet from your deity, but what if you worship Helm? After all, he is the only god allowed to stay in their plane. And Arcane spells can go awry, but what are the rules for that? Is it in one of the books? And what about magical items? Do they lose their magical abilities, or can they go haywire also? Please, I need some input on this topic, or this campaign may never get off the ground...
Blackheart 06-27-06, 09:26 PM	Meaning no disrespect in my post... You really should try out the game products released for Forgotten Realms. I think you'll be shocked to find these things called mechanics. They do a world of good. Otherwise, wing it. If your imagination and creativity isnt up to the par you've set for your own course, you might want to rethink which side of the screen you belong on.

FineasBoggs 07-01-06, 03:16 PM	See the Shadowdale, Tantras and Waterdeep modules. If you're wanting to run a time of troubles campaign, these will give all the background mechanics you need, even if your PCs aren't going to be feature players as the mods have it.
dangerdude69 07-02-06, 08:02 AM	Anywhere i can find those on a digital format? from some of the searches i've done, i'm guessing they're a little hard to come by, because all i see is other people asking about them or mentioning them lol. oh well.
dangerdude69 07-02-06, 08:20 AM	I say that because I'm in Iraq, and we have our personal internet (not cheap or very fast, but good enough for an alright download if necessary), and the only place i've really seen that offers it is rpgnow.com, but for $5, and i really don't want to spend it for 4 character sets. oh well, guess i'll have to break down anyways lol.
