Todenfeuer needs some Input from the community [Archive] - Wizards Community

First of all let me inroduce my self, ingame I am Hans van der Todenfeuer, a NE specialist invoker operating in the moonsea region.

Todenfeuer is the kind of villain 007 James Bond gets up against, he has a lot of followers, a front as a trading house, and of course his own considerable magic powers.

Now I recently got hold of a enourmous cache of gold, but Waukeen cursed when I tried to invest everything in my trading house. (upsetting regional economics and all !)
So I made a proposal which suited Waukeen, and she would probably not get into trouble with the other gods.
The cache get divided into 3 pools. Each pool representing the construction of an Cathedral.
The gods which I honor with this present are Waukeen, Azuth & Gond.

I have some ideas for the general architecture of the cathedrals derived from real life ones.

Azuth, the tallest cathedral in the world, in Ulm Munster.
Gond, Bourges in France.
Waukeen, Catedral de Mexico

I think the Azuth one is okay as it is, I just need to make some top down plans for it, with all the magic enchantments there will be.
Also some librariers and laboratories.

I would like to make the Gond one more special, I toyed with the thought of placing it in the moonsea, making it the regional center for ships and all aquatic and naval cutting edge technology.

I have no idea about the Waukeen Cathedral, should it be a opulent luxurios place or like a Harvard university with focus in business ?

A little side deal is of course that my trading house is rapidly moving into construction enterprising, I am planning for them to contract all the work with the cathedral.

11-05-06, 02:39 AM Waukeen's cathedral should encompase both of your ideas. You're already thinking big, so go for broke I say! Centralize the learning to make what the place can teach seem more valuable, that way you can charge more for teaching.

Then sell the idea that students get practical hands on learning by having the regional naval center right there as well.

But there are also advantages to having them spread out.
More public viewing of the grand cathedrals donated by the great philantropist :D
City state goverment politics .....

Also I won't be able to tax them.

11-14-06, 10:09 AM The Azuth Cathedral blew up last game session, along with the city it was placed in. So the ground is cursed now...
Guess i'm happy I didn't centralize them, "never keep all your eggs in 1 basket, son"

I have placed Infiltrators in the remaining churches.
Just to keep an eye on things...
