Feazal 03-26-07, 10:22 AM	Greetings, I am unaware if there are any Topographic maps of the Realms available, I know in the Forgotten Realms Atlas by Karen W. Fondstad therer were some maps which had some sort of topography on them. What I need is information on whether there are maps available like this and if not what are the legal implications if I took on a project to start this off. I am currently about to run a Realms campaing set in Cormyr and want to flesh out the Country a bit more to give the lay of the land. Is this something that people think would be usefull and what would be the situation regarding WOTC on a website possbly hosting this (Although I have not approached any sites yet regarding this I was thinking of Candlekeep or a site similiar.), It would only show existing FR towns cities Etc. it would not utilise the FR interactive atlas as I do not own it and have had a difficult time getting hold of a copy. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. I thank you in anticipation Feazel
Bolithio 03-26-07, 10:33 AM	This is something you will have to do yourself. And that is a good thing, because it gives you control as a DM. At this point, there are so many variations of maps for the "heartlends" - that you almost should create your own maps for your own campaign. It allows you to have control over the scale, terrain, placement of towns, etc. Adding your towns and villages and landforms is great to. I run currently a game based on the Sea of Fallen Stars, and recently had to develop a detailed map of the Pirate Isles. A daunting task though worth it in the end. I would suggest Volos Guide to Cormyr for some good detail maps of the region - One of the better sources in my opinion.
