| Tempus66503-19-04, 03:52 AM | This is a tricky situation...I only got myself to blame. Anyway, letīs post some of the trickier, more difficult situations you or your PCīs have been in! To entertain, or perhaps to inspire! To start off: the party I DM needed to pay a visit to a gnoll camp, somewhere on the borders of Thay. They needed to go there to get some really important information from the gnoll chieftain. This information could seriously discredit some of the wealthier citizens of Bezantur, as it would bring to light their malpractices. So the PCīs set off to this campsite, and unbeknownst to them, an assassin hired by these wealthy people follows them. His mission is to slay the gnoll chieftain before the PCīs get any information from him. After a lot of difficult conversation, the PCīs are allowed inside the chieftainīs tent, and they sit down before him. The chieftain is sitting in the back of the tent, surrounded by four bodyguards. While they were having some small talk to break the ice, the assassin slips in behind the chieftain, and is thus unseen by him and his bodyguards. The PCīs on the other hand, are able to see him quite clearly! Their first reaction at seeing the hooded man with two long daggers drawn is draw their own weapons! The gnolls, still not aware of the assassin, think the PCīs are attacking their chieftain! So, while the gnoll bodyguards are busy fighting the PCīs, the assassin is able to kill the chieftain. We had great fun playing this out. Or at least, I had :D |
