| capn01-12-06, 06:03 AM | First of all if you're reading this Grim I'll be very annoyed  I'm currently DMing a FR campaign, at the moment the players are fooling about in the northern Border forests doing Forge of Fury. I'm trying to think of an adventure for them set around the Daggerdale area (I want to move into the CotSQ later). They will probably be about 5-6th level when they get back to town. I was thinking of maybe something to do with Zhents stirring up various humaniods to start harrassing the outlying areas to cause some trouble, but don't really know where to go from there. :( Any creative types want to help a novice DM out? For reference the party consists of an Elven Fighter/Ranger, Human Fighter/Rogue, Human wizard, Human Fighter going with all the ranged feats and an NPC cleric of lathander. The group ranges from LN to LG. |

For something that might last a little while, you could check out what is going on with the Elven Army in the area (as per the Last Mythal Trilogy). I am sure the Elven character might be interested in that. -For something less time consuming, you could run a mission or two for the wizard, for him to gather some components for a potent spell, or something similar. You can also run something quick, concerning the NPC Cleric of Lathander. -Good luck figuring things out! |

The next adventure is to clear the dungeon (same map, less work for you). A third adventure may be hooked on the reason why the party was captured (and not killed) in the first place: - Sacrifice in a dark ritual (there may be more innocent "sacrifices") - Interrogation for certain information (local defenses, Church of Lathander) - Exchange hostages for some captured orcs (clerics of Gruumsh) - On demand of somebody behind the scene (Could be an entirely different organization with obscure reasons, e.g. Zhents, could be some dark elf they may meet later in CotSQ, could be the revenge for any earlier slight in FoF or other adventure) - Anything you make up. |

You could up the monsters a bit and use that... Thats looks pretty good, they'll be close to 6th level so I will have to scale it a bit, but that shouldn't be too hard |

The adventure is for 10th level groups, so figure out something to hike them up to that level. The forest in the area is full of interesting things, as are the hills. You may want to take a look at the module Speaker in Dreams. Its designed for 5th level parties and takes them to about 7th-8th. Just about the whole thing take place in a town during a festival. Check these out. They're worth it. It takes a little converting on your part to 3.5, but you might find that someone here has already done so. |
