| MissEntreri12-13-06, 12:04 PM | I just finished reading the War of the Spiderqueen series and I am interested in finding the stats of some of the characters, especially Ryld Argith, and Pharaun Mizzrym. About a month ago i discovered that the stats were printed in some older issues of Dragon Magazine, so if anyone knows what issue numbers they were i would really appreciate it:confused: |
| Zanan12-14-06, 04:14 AM | No problem ... | FRBRAZIL12-14-06, 10:12 PM | I wasn't exactly looking for these stats, 'cos in fact, my campaign take place in the North of 1372, and players are still using 2nd level characters. But obviously, I would end up creating something really interesting and challenging to make the go through by the year of 1373, when they'll be probably might warriors and could face higher level enemies. I would use the war of the drows (or something related) and, eventually, I would look for these stats. So, my thanks, Zanan! ;) |
| Lord Dracul04-27-07, 03:01 PM | I would like to obtain the full stats of the Jaezred Chaulssin. I have seen their classes and levels, yet they still lack full stats. |
| XHereticX04-27-07, 07:35 PM | Are there any stats for Inthacius, that Ultroloth that attacked them in the pits? |
| Lord Karsus04-27-07, 10:46 PM | Nimor Imphraezl (Anointed Blade of the Jaezred Chaulssin) - male half-shadow dragon drow Rogue 3 / Fighter 4 / Assassin 9 (CE) (plus half-shadow dragon stuff) -Note, for anyone who is using these stats, that Nimor would be better stated as a Drow-Dragon (Dragons of Faerūn), as opposed to a Half-Shadow Dragon. |
| Zanan04-28-07, 04:48 AM | -Note, for anyone who is using these stats, that Nimor would be better stated as a Drow-Dragon (Dragons of Faerūn), as opposed to a Half-Shadow Dragon. He has been (re-?)statted in the web-enhancement to this very same book only this week. |
| ericlboyd04-28-07, 07:09 AM | -Note, for anyone who is using these stats, that Nimor would be better stated as a Drow-Dragon (Dragons of Faerūn), as opposed to a Half-Shadow Dragon. Not yet. Nimor is still a half-shadow dragon drow. He hasn't undergone the transformation to drow-dragon and been promoted yet. The only known drow-dragons are the 8 Patron Faithers and Nurvureem. Nurvureem is fully statted in Dragons of Faerun. The 8 Patron Fathers are statted in parenthetical form in the Authority Figures stat block. --Eric |
| Undead_Pillager05-03-07, 06:57 PM | I'd like to know, how do these characters avoid multiclassing penalties? Or, being book characters, no one cares about that? I mean, look at Valas Hune - awesome thing, downright awesome and elegant, but his advancement would have been slowed a bit. Or perhaps his glory is in being so powerful despite the multiclass penalty? Any official answer to that? (similar situation with Drizzt and possibly Artemis Entreri) |
| Borris05-04-07, 03:42 AM | They most likely all took experiences penalties due to trying to specialize in so many different paths at once. However, drow live a long time, and most of these characters are two to three hundred years old. Had they stuck with a single path of training, they might have reached the point where they are now some ten years earlier, and perhaps be a whole level or two stronger now, but some prefer to add some versatility to their abilities. And while drow always plot in the long term, they know very well that they may not live to see their next birthday, so few would pass over an appropriate multiclass choice because of an eventually slightly slower progression. |
| Zanan05-05-07, 05:54 PM | They took the most easiest of all routes: the are novel characters! ;) (That is: they, much like other out- or in-game NPCs, couldn't care less about XP penalties.) |
| Undead_Pillager05-05-07, 06:47 PM | I think Borris's explanation is something that I've been looking for. It actually make sense :) Now that they're book characters and they simply don't need it, that's an ok theory too. But I think I prefer the former just for it being quite realistic, considering the drow and elven lifestyles. |
| cjhobbitbane07-09-07, 04:41 PM | they never statted the alu... shame |
| Zanan07-10-07, 04:25 AM | they never statted the alu... shame Well, they did ... in Hellgate Keep. That's still AD&D though and all alu-fiends had set scores back then. These days, you know her class levels and the essentially alu-fiend template has appeared in Expedition to the Demonweb Pits. (Yes, it says cambion, but that's just the male version of the alu-fiend, unless I am mistaken ... Shem?) |
| Joneleth07-10-07, 10:48 AM | Any word on the abyssal widows? (maidens and midwives of Lolth) |
| Zanan07-11-07, 04:13 AM | Any word on the abyssal widows? (maidens and midwives of Lolth) Nope. They were/are the creations of the authors of the last two novels. Might come close to the Envoys of Lolth as presented in EttDP, though the latter lack somewhat in power in and appearance. |
| Eltorion07-15-07, 09:31 PM | Sorry don't meen to bust the conversation but what did you meen by stats like a saw some one gave them but will I understand one i read the series? |

| shaemus07-26-07, 08:08 PM | I have been looking at zanan's version of Irae, great job Zanan I will be using her in my CotSQ game, My PC's are all Drow from Menzoberranzan members of Bregan D' I have been trying to find stats for Some of the War of the Spider queen heroes because if my guys complete CotSQ then I'm going to use a spin on the books to create a new adventure for them. Maybe get them to play the key parts and add some of the NPC's to round out the party. |
| biomante07-27-07, 04:02 PM | Does anyone knows if there are plans to release gaming material relating the Drow of the Underdark supplement with the Realms? I know about the Underdark book, but it is not very Drow specific. Thanks |
