Waterdeep Excerpt [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-02-05, 04:40 AM Finally, what some of us has been waiting for is on the Wizards D&D frontpage. Glad to see another monk PrC(being an avid monk fan), and it looks promising. The resources paragraph is a great idea that I think should have been included with every PrC in past realms books that represent an organization. I like the whole description on the page, it seems to get the point of the PrC across thoroughly, while it avoids gouging book space with rambling and redundance(IMHO), like in LEoF and CoR. But also glad that there aren't going to be too many PrC, being as there is only four, which leaves more room for valuable fluff on Waterdeep. Since they've cut the number of pages on the books, I really don't mind the lack of crunch, since it lacks any feats or spells to speak of(according to the May preview).

In any case, I'm glad we have a reliable O.G. like Eric Boyd on this one. The book looks promising from what I have seen, and is even more so considering that Eric is behind it. Oh yeah, and it's about Waterdeep.

06-02-05, 09:25 AM Yep. That excerpt makes me want to drop yet more money on another Forgotten Realms supplement. Ah well, Eric Boyd's kids have to go to college too. ;) Seriously though, I'm really liking the way they are taking the supplements these days. This one "seems" to follow the tone and content that we've been seeing in LEoF and Shining South.

06-02-05, 02:47 PM The most sources usually is right, especially ones that are so apparent like the site. The site has been saying on the main page that it would be released in June since the beginning of last month, so unless there is an unexpected delay...

If WotC is putting up related material for a product like what was mentioned in the first post, the product will be released in the very near future, probably within the next two weeks or so...

06-03-05, 03:54 PM "Whistles" Hmmm I think I might pick this up. Waterdeep has always been my favorite Realms city, and the Sun Soul excerpt was.. stunning. "Shakes head" Dang if WOTC can put out this kind of material. Im gonna be a dedicated Realms person once again.
