Waterdeep, some help please. [Archive] - Wizards Community

I haven't run a Forgotten Realms game for a long long long time. Still like the setting but been using one of my own. Wanted to do a city based adventure and decided to use Waterdeep, waiting for the supplement to get to me hope in the next few days. Am unsure what adventures to get the party involved in particularly at low 1-5 level as I keep coming up with grand ideas rather than simple low level stuff.

Any suggestions of City adventures based in Waterdeep would be appreciated.

Oh and I hope I have posted in the right place for this.

03-24-06, 02:27 PM Cannot think of anything specifically off of the top of my head. But if you can get acces to some of the Second edition Waterdeep supplements you may find what you need in there. Paizo.com and RPGnow.com sell them as PDF's.

If you don't want to create anything from scratch I personally like using some of the adventures from Dungeon to jumpstart writers block.

Of course you can also always read through the new city of splendors hardcover and find some campaign ideas and go on from there.

I started my campaign in 1356 and the characters have gotten to 1361 at the moment. It may be easier to start in the past and plot scenarios for these events that "already happened" instead of starting in the current year of the FR timeline.

03-26-06, 07:49 PM How about having them investigate a disturbance in the sewers? You could use the Plague Rats as the main antagonists...which would not be that hard to start out at 1st level and work your way up. That is one nice thing about Waterdeep...there is no where to go but up..or down depending on how you look at it.
