What exactly happened in Waterdeep. im hearing alot about it as of late and alas i havnt read the book. No need to go into great detail or anything, i just want to know the general gist of what happened, as it seems to be pretty important.

Do you mean the new Waterdeep novel? It isn't out yet and wont be out till at least next year most likely......

If not that novel, then not sure what you are talking about.

the waterdeep novel being released next year is a reprint with a new cover

i have the original waterdeep novel upstairs

*big spoilers*

midnight gets captured by bhaal who tells her how to enter the city of the dead and he is then killed by cyric using gods bane

then

midnight kelemvor with the help of elminster and khelben defeat myrkul and kill him
cyric kills kelemvor and wounds adon stealing the tablets of fate and goes to top of mounting outside waterdeep were midnight follows him (i cant remember the name)

there Ao and helm apear and Ao grants cyric and midnight godhood and then ends the timeof troubles

at the end Ao consults with his master and tells him that all is well
