Does anyone know where to find or if there even is a weapon finesse feat that deals with longswords?

Well a longsword is a one-handed melee weapon and weapon finesse requires a light weapon for use. So the base answer would be no. Although you could use a longsword that is one size smaller, thus dropping it to a light weapon, but you would also reduce the damage die too and suffer a penalty to hit.

There is a feat, but it is third party.
There might be others, but this is the only one that comes to mind immediately.

Weapon of Choice [Fighter/General]
Your skill with a weapon makes it seem feather-light in your hands.
Source: Plot & Poison by Green Ronin.
Prerequisite: Weapon Proficiency (selected weapon), Weapon Focus (selected weapon), base Attack bonus +4.
Benefit: Choose one-weapon of a size category equal to your own, such as a Longsword (Medium) for a Drow (Medium). You treat this weapon as a light weapon for purposes of Two-Weapon Fighting, and can use Weapon Finesse with it. You can even use it in a grapple or when swallowed by a creature.
Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a new weapon.

I hate 3rd party stuff, yuck...

Well, that's besides the point of the thread. If you want a more ~official~ source you can use an elven thinblade, does longsword damage, has a better critical (18-20/x2) and you can use Weapon Finesse with it. It's an exotic weapon, though.

Well, as Warlockco wrote, the sourfce is Plot & Poison, a Green Ronin book. This one and its 3,5 adventure companion Dezzavold are quite good readings for drow PC and DM.

Then again, quite a number of more official feats can be found in Complete Warrior and Complete Adventurer, the latter one has a very simple one to fight with e.g. two longswords at the usual -2 penalty each.

Do also check Warlockco's sig for a link to Eric L. Boyd's webiste. It features an article by Tom Costa on various PrC, fighting styles, feats and weapons. very interesting indeed.

I wouldn't allow that feat to work for a Bastard Sword, since it is one of those things that falls between Medium/Large, since you need special training to use it one-handed.

Instead of looking for so long, you might as well make those feats you want yourself. It's only third party material.

A friend of mine has an epic paladin of Helm wielding a Huge bastard sword. It's cool (so anime-like, we love it). He took Monkey Grip, Wield Oversized Weapon, and has Exotic Weapon Proficiency with it. Of course, he has a -2 penalty to attack and has to wield it as a two-handed weapon, but it's still awesome.

Thing is some of the 3rd party material is fairly well balanced, especially the stuff made for 3.5E rules.
I know when I modify a PrC to suit my own tastes, I often have to becareful of the changes I make, because they often become slightly unbalanced.

Also you shouldn't knock 3rd party material.
Eric L Boyd and Thomas M Costa have done several .pdfs for the 3.x Realms that isn't officially recognized by WotC and thus is considered 3rd party material.

LOL

He does love Cloud as an FF character, but had no intention nor influence in making his paladin. It was just one of those spontaneous ideas he had for his character when he began reaching high levels, storyline-wise. His character is young (16, well now 17) and with high charisma leads to a rather heavily-prideful-of-his-deity-I'm-young-and-unstoppable outlook on life. To represent his enormous faith and pride in his work as a Paladin of Helm, he compensated it with the largest favored weapon of the deity he could legally wield.

Thus, a nightmare was born LOL (unstoppable charge from the Cavalier PrC and keen&bless weapon on the sucker...Evil's future began to appear very stormy...heh)

That said feat is from Green Ronin and not some player doesn't make it more or less balanced. I agree that one has to be careful with such things and that goes for 3rd party material as well as for one's own (and some WotC material, too *chuckles*).

3rd party material is gaming material published by RPG companies other than Wizards of the Coast. It's not considered official to the D&D game by WotC, any questions you have or other issues with the material cannot be taken up by WotC, and such material isn't really as trustworthy as WotC material is (well, in my case that is).

But don't let that stop you from purchasing 3rd party material. If you want more stuff for your games, go for it. I, for one, refuse to acknowledge anything but WotC material in my D&D games. Other RPG games, however, it wouldn't bother me.

You do know that a Huge bastard sword is a fullblade right?

You could take less feats that way.

Oh, and its good to seeya on here Kiev.

But then all his Bastard Sword feats wouldn't work with a Fullblade. ;)

Well, I'm working with the equivalency chart.

It may be a bastard sword to a huge creature but, not to him. Its a fullblade.

Holding one HUGE sword wasn't enough for him :D So want his motorcyle. :D
I'll stop there with the spoilers. :D
