What do you guys think of the Undermountain updates [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-05-05, 07:11 PM I have been following the updates vary close the Realms are close to my heart and so is Undermountain for some strange reason, Personaly some of the ideas are ok at best, however the most reasent account ( The Ice Prison) was a joke I could not except the thought of Halaster having a prison to put monsters in who try to excape.

Tell me this why would Halaster even care acording to every book I have ever seen about Halasters says he is Chaotic evil, I can see it now" Oh no a beholder is trying to excape my dungon I beter put him in jail for awhile to teach him a not to do that"..what a joke

11-05-05, 07:20 PM The Undermoutain articles are a mixed bag some a good (these tend to be ones that draw on the old boxsets) and some are bad (they tend not to have realms feel to them)

11-06-05, 10:10 PM I don't like it. Wizo's aught to bring UM up to par with Aeg Worlds largest dungeon, although that module if you call it that is a series of rooms with lame monsters over and over again.

They could bring it up to 3.5 detail several areas of interest like the 1st ed UM box set, detail skullport which is just awesome and create random encounter tables of great detail, beacause that would make it all the more fun, UM is a dangerous place and thus should be.

I could not agree with you more the updates are ok at best however It is good for a laugh I guess to see the lame stuff this guy is puting in the updates (The Ice prison) has had me lol the guy is lost in space if he would have anyone think that Halaster would even care about monsters excaping Undermountain, I did like the well shaft entrance update it had a little more flavor. I hated the mimic in the hall of mirrors, I also hated the Vampire with spawn and the Contest room everyone tryed to give a discription of all lame ideas.
