I am new to D&D and my group is playing version 3.5. We are playing in the Forgotten Realms. I am trying to figure out what books of the FR lineup are considered 3.5 and what is going to be revised. I know the new Player's Guide to Faerun will be coming out soon, but what of the existing material should I be getting? Thanks for any suggestions.

Cheers!

Races of Faerūn as well no?
At least it won't be revised, like the Faiths and Gods book i guess.

As well as Unapproachable East I believe.

So the current consensus is:

Player's Guide to Faerun
Underdark
Races of Faerun
Faiths and Pantheons
Unapprochable East

Correct?

Faiths and Pantheons is not likely to be revised, nor is it 3.5 complient. The Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting has a lot of geographical information that is not being updated, either.

Neither Races of Faerun, Faiths and Panteons or Unapproachable East is 3.5, they all use the 3.0 DR system.

Unapproachable East is't 3.5, but was made with 3.5 in mind, many of the changes were implemented (Monster feats and skill points mostly).

I agree with the sentiment that while Races of Faerun and the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting (FRCS) are both 3.0, they are very good books to have for a 3.5 game. RoF is just full of fluff, which is great no matter what version you are playing. Also, the FRCS would seem indespencible to a FR game. Of course, if the new product reproduces many of the 3E rules in a better format and you have all the old 1E and 2E products, then perhaps you don't need the FRCS.
