| Roland Falantyr08-18-05, 02:57 PM | After getting the new waterdeep book to put alongside my unnapproachable east it made me wonder if there were any plans for a sword coast book or maybe something that centered around the area where Cormyr or Sembia resides. Have there been any rumors or facts pertaining to a new regional supplement for FR? |
| Reefy08-18-05, 11:05 PM | The short is answer is no, we have no idea. I'm hoping for at least two for next year though, and my guess (hope, perhaps) is for a Dalelands sourcebook. |
| Alva08-19-05, 04:32 AM | I would like to see a Western Heartlands sourcebook |
| druid berrymore08-19-05, 04:58 AM | A Dalelands sourcebook? One can only dream. |
| Angurwald08-20-05, 09:21 AM | Even if it has been covered extensively in 2nd edition, it's probably due time for a sourcebook on the Dalelands. Personnaly i'd like a cartographer handbook which detail in details the Realms in general. If it has to be more specific... mm.... the High Forest? :thinks: --A. |
| Iakhovas08-20-05, 11:04 AM | I'd like to see an Island Kingdoms sourcebook covering the Moonshaes, Lantan, Nimbral, and Evermeet. |
| dragonheart08-20-05, 11:43 AM | lets see, we have the underdark, the shining south, the lost kingdoms, the unapprochable east, Silverymoon and now waterdeep. Tethyr was covered right at the end of 2e so itsw probably out. that leaves Cormyr, Sembia, the Dales, Cormanthor & Moonsea (they really should go together and would fit in beautifully with the year of risen elfkin and the last mythal series), the high forest and southern heartlands, Anauroch, the north (both east and west), the Vilhon Reach and the area between the sea of fallen stars and Rashemen north of Thay (what ever its called). since they seem to jump around as much as possible I will guess one will deal with the Cormyr/Sembia/Dales/Moonsea and the other with the either the high forest or the Vilhon Reach. ;) |
| Cli' San Aquanova08-20-05, 12:51 PM | Was Sembia ever given an extensive module? I recall hearing that Ed Greenwood originally didn't plan on any detailing Sembia, since he wanted it to be the DM's customizable city, but obviously many things have changed since then. -C'SA :u:Bring Back Merfolk!!!:u: |
| Lord Zeb08-20-05, 12:56 PM | Aside from Beyond Faerun (Maztica,Kara-Tur,Horde Lands, Al-Qadim), the next two regional supplements I would like to see are: 1) Cormyr/Sembia/Dales/Cormanthor/Moonsea in one package 2) Islank Kingdoms as above (Evermeet, Moonshaes, Lantan, etc) |
| Demetrios08-20-05, 01:02 PM | Was Sembia ever given an extensive module? But given its central location, the developers were unable to maintain this for too long, and abandoned it in the Forgotten Realms Adventures hardcover. However, Sembia has never had in-depth coverage in an accessory, so it would make for an excellent subject for an upcomng regional book. Cormyr/Sembia/Dragon Coast would make a good regional accessory, IMHO. |
| Roland Falantyr08-21-05, 02:55 AM | I'm glad to know that i'm not the only one looking forward to the next major region supplement. The waterdeep book is excellent |
| WVgamer08-21-05, 10:56 AM | I'd really like to see Island Kingdoms |
| Demetrios08-21-05, 12:59 PM | I'd really like to see Island Kingdoms An accessory on the Island Kingdoms would be an excellent idea as well. Lantan has never been covered, so it's a place just dying to be detailed (and they could even adapt some Eberron ideas for it to tempt some players to cross over - if any place in the Realms even remotely resembles Eberron, it would be Lantan). The Moonshaes haven't been covered in nearly 20 years, being the subject of the second ever FR regional accessory and nothing since. And Evermeet could really do with an update after the last few eventful years. In fact, if they wanted to, they could link such an accessory to the recently-released Stormwrack. |

Well except for Halls of the High King but even that is dated since Tristan was still king. :) And I'm going to throw in my reply of Island Kingdoms please. |
| Moscone08-21-05, 08:59 PM | Now that we have Waterdeep, I want a full hardbound Ruins of Myth Drannor book like the old boxed set. |
| Roland Falantyr08-22-05, 02:15 AM | Now that we have Waterdeep, I want a full hardbound Ruins of Myth Drannor book like the old boxed set. ive heard rumors that this might be in production..... |
| Yom Beekus08-22-05, 02:28 PM | Personally, I would like to see an updated Moonsea book. Or something that covers the Vast and Impiltur. But I would go ga-ga over a book on Vaasa and Damara. Let's see how things are going in Dragonsbane's kingdom since the upgrade to 3.5! |
| Roland Falantyr08-22-05, 05:16 PM | Has all of the 2006 stuff been announced yet? Do we have to wait til january to see the new product line up? |
| Razz08-23-05, 11:27 AM | I want to see one of the Cold Lands: Damara, Vaasa, Narfell, Great Glacier, Impiltur, Sossal. Those need an updated detail since the last things that were written about it was back in 1359 D.R. I believe. I also would like to see a Cormyr or Sembia regional book also. The Lands of Intrigue is another I'd be happy to see also (Tethyr, Amn, Calimshan and the mysterious lands where Cadderly lives but almost all of that land was cut from the new FR map) |

What part of the world are Cormyr and Sembia in? Is that the area called the Western Heartlands? |
| vezina08-23-05, 12:59 PM | Western Heartlands is pretty much the land between the Sword Coast and Anauroch/Cormyr. Cormyr and Sembia, IIRC, are part of the Heartlands along with the Dales, but they're kind of a region all their own. |
| Demetrios08-23-05, 01:41 PM | For some reason I never considered a land of intrigue...i always thought they would just do a full fledged sword coast book but your way sounds quite appealing. The problem with the Lands of Intrigue are that they were among the last areas covered in 2e in regional accessories, and there are a lot of areas that have been neglected for far longer. In fact, Lands of Intrigue and Empires of the Shining Sea are, barring the changes in the map (which will no doubt be explained away when the time comes), still reasonably up-to-date compared to some areas that have had radical changes or simply have not been updated in 15 years of game time (or never been covered at all!) |
