Web_Dancer 04-05-05, 08:25 PM	The art in the Silver Marches book is great in the Wizards Art Gallery, the book is not listed. I would like to use some of the images to accompany descriptions without lugging the book around, does anyone have to a link to gallery of the book's art?

Brenigin 04-08-05, 08:23 PM	Failures? They're probably the 3E FR books most commonly referred to on people's "Best so far" lists on these forums... But yes, they are the 2 books missing from online galleries. Maybe Mark Jindra or Rich Baker could set the wheels in motion? Pleaseee.....
warlockco 04-08-05, 10:22 PM	They are considered "failures" because of the softcover format, just like Magic of Faerun. Magic of Faerun sold mainly because it was/is the MAGIC book.

I just ordered, and recieved LoD, and I like very, very much... Alot of people complained about the Softcover format, especially for the price. And I would have to agree on that. The books themselves were good, just the softcover format was the failure.

The Simbul 04-09-05, 01:12 AM	Personally the three softcovers are probably the best three realms books I have seen in 3E. Although I dont own Lords of Darkness, I have read enough to place it on that list. If the artwork in Unapproachable East wasnt so varied in its quality, and if had more detail (i.e. Star Elves and Sildeyuir) then It might also be on that list AFAIC. I think they may have had some legal issues regarding posting the artwork, or perhaps they were just too lazy to do it. That said I really would like the art galleries to be posted online, since I dont like having to risk damage to my books just to be able to show an image to players at the gaming table. P.S. like 40% of the artwork in Faiths and Pantheons is also missing from its own gallery, mainly the PrC artwork and probably some Pantheon stuff as well.
Moscone 04-15-05, 08:20 PM	Agreed. It's a bit belated, but they should post the art galleries for these books. While they may have deemed the books failures, I can't get enough of my Magic of Faerun book. Every player I've gamed with since getting it has found it incredibly useful. More spells for the magic-users, more magic items for everyone else, and the Ghost Mage and Scalmagdrion for the DM. That and the info on the Fey Crossroads is great stuff too.
Gray Richardson 04-15-05, 08:41 PM	I think Silver Marches and Lords of Darkness are two of my very favorite FR books! I find Lords of Darkness to be invaluable to me to this day. Especially the easy NPC's of various levels I use all the time. I used Silver Marches for a 2 year campaign set in the North. God I love that book! Now I am running a new campaign based around Westgate. I am still frequently referring to Lords of Darknes for this campaign.

Gray Richardson 04-18-05, 01:11 PM	Yep, Cloak & Dagger has a great write-up on westgate in the back. Also, Kuje the friendly scribe informs me that "FR Adventures has info on Westgate. Heroes and Villian's Lorebook for the Alias info from those novels. The 1e and 2e campaign box sets." And of course the 3e campaign sourcebook.
