Where to place my homebrew town? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-20-03, 10:56 AM I've recently gotten into wanting to DM a Realms game and I wanted to drop the town I've been using somewhere. But I'm not sure where.

My town needs to be situated on a river used as a trade route, preferably with an overland trade route nearby. A good mix of plains and forest with a few days travel would be useful too.

Any help you can give would be appreciated.

There´s the River Chionthar, a trail that´s bound to be used by caravans, the Fields of the Dead (plains) and the Wood of Sharp Teeth.

08-20-03, 04:13 PM Yeah well my town is located about threes travel north of Waterdeep. And i've got big big plans for that section of the Sword Coast so stay the heck out of that area!!!!!!
