03-03-06, 10:39 AM They more or less came out concurrently. IIRC, Darkwalker on Moonshae did get published a month or two before the original campaign setting.

However, Ed's home Realms campaign, as the original FR, has been around since 1967. It was only in 1987 that it became an officially published setting for 1e during the days of TSR.

Yep and Ed was doing stuff with it in Dragon before 1987 also. With the various articles of his that got published.
