| Dwarven Beserker03-04-04, 12:17 AM | Ok, i know this isnt the best place to post this but i couldnt find another place more suitable and since this is forgotten realms general, i found it most suitable. im just curious as to see who u guys would think would win, and why 1. jaraxle vs. entrei 2. bruenor vs. wulfgar 3. drizzt vs. jaraxle 4. thibbledwelf pwent vs. zaknafein and lasty 5. Drizzt vs. Obloud (the lone drow) i personally would say 1. jaraxle 2. bruenor 3. drizzt 4 pwent and 5. drizzt |
| Myst_the_Moonscout03-04-04, 01:07 AM | are we talking stats or just general opinions? Generally I would say: 1- Jarlaxle. He's always got a trick up his sleeve (or boot, or hat...) 2- Bruenor 3- Drizzt. Would probably have some idea of what to expect. 4- Zaknafien. (aside from the dead part) A weapons master would probably see the charging 3 foot spike. 5- I can't say for this one, havn't read the Lone Drow yet, but lets go Drizzt because hey, it's Drizzt! Stats-wise I don't know. Haven't looked at them enough. |
| Monsoon2803-04-04, 04:40 AM | My Personal Opinion 1. Artemis he's a Natural Born Killer, and has become quite aware of Jar's tricksy nature. 2. Bruenor, experience over Brawn. 3. Probably Drizzt but he's less likely to know how Jarlaxle fights. 4. What's the point? Is Pwent going to dig up Zak and beat on his corpse?? Otherwise a superbly trained fighter will usually beat a brawler unless their is no room to maneuver. 5. A Draw. I don't think they're going to kill off either of these characters just yet. And be careful, this one can end up a Novel discussion. Peace... |
| Dwarven Beserker03-04-04, 09:15 AM | with that sais, does any1 know the stats or know about what the stats are of wulfgar, bruenor, jaraxke, entrei or drizzt. Ive seen one site but ir uts wulfgar at 19 strength... i can see him being 18.100 but 19? that confuses be a bit, it also gave zak 140 hit points and 5 levels above drizzt(24) oh yah and about zak, i couldnt find any1 else to pair pwent up with(thibbledorf not my earlier spelling) and for that fight lets just say zak was back alive, not zin-carla, just back alive with ordinary stuff and c mon i had to include pwent |
| trentlanthier03-04-04, 10:41 AM | 1. jaraxle vs. entrei - Jaraxle, hints of his origins the fact that his group survives in a female dominated world... this man on a dailey basis is around professional killers, even Artemis was almost disturbed with how the Drow live. Jaraxle is a survivor hands down. 2. bruenor vs. wulfgar - Depends if its a Toe to Toe I'd have to say Bruenor, if it starts Ranged I'd have to say Wulfgar. 3. drizzt vs. jaraxle - If its being written by RAS I'd say Draw. If its being RP'd out with dice etc I'd say Jaraxle (Same as answer 1.) but since Drizzt is a Franchise character he would never die in a book. 4. thibbledwelf pwent vs. zaknafein - Zak hands down, no contest, nada, doesn't matter time place, anything, unless they were stuck in a coffin together where pwent just wiggled around, Zak would win. 5. Prob Drizzt but won't discuss this. |
| Dawnspeaker03-04-04, 11:23 AM | 1.) Enteri...he's dealth with Jarlaxe awhile, and Charon's Claw makes him a very nasty enemy. 2.) Bruenor...Wulfgar would have a hard time even comprehending fighting Bruenor who is more experienced, tougher and tricky 3.) Drizzt...Jarlaxe had a healty respect for him and seemed to never want to actually do battle with Drizzt 4.) Zak...not even worth explaining 5.) Obloud, just to be different and he shrugged off hits from just about everything that was thrown at him. I think Drizzt would escape though and figure something out.(so he wouldnt' kill Drizzt but he would force a retreat) |
| Monsoon2803-04-04, 12:43 PM | Originally posted by Dwarven Beserker with that sais, does any1 know the stats or know about what the stats are of wulfgar, bruenor, jaraxke, entrei or drizzt. Silver Marches Source book has stats on Bruenor and Wulfgar, Entreri and Drizzt you can find in the FRCS. Not to sure if the new Player's Guide to Faerun will have NPC's stats but I doubt it. |
| Mumm-Ra03-04-04, 02:16 PM | Stats wise, here we go: jarlaxle vs entreri-evenly matched, would be down to roll of the dice bruenor vs wulfgar. former is lvl 13, latter is lvl 8 (or was it 9). Bruenor would win hands down, no discussion there. drizzt vs jarlaxle-as stats wise drizzt, entreri, and jarlaxle are around the same lvl, this one , too , is evenly matched. It would be down to a roll of the die i think. pwent vs zaknafein. I cannot believe anyone would bet on pwent. pwent is significantly weaker than drizzt, so less than 18th lvl, while zaknafein was a lvl 24 fighter. I doubt zaknafein would even lose a tenth of his hitpoints. dead pwent. very dead pwent. in fact, a mushy pulp pwent. A grease spot pwent. A creamed pwent. you get the picture. drizzt vs oubould. stats wise, drizzt would butcher obould in a couple of rounds with a good chance of not taking a single hit. |
| Dwarven Beserker03-04-04, 03:16 PM | im still betting pwent would win, or get close, his kamikaze fighting style would help a lot against such a trained warrior as zak, of course if u put both against a load of drow pwent would again win with his gutbuster drink. zak might win, but if pwent nicks him, he would be slowed for that extra second for pwent to hug him...then again maybe not, touching zak at all is a hard feat |
| trentlanthier03-05-04, 10:39 AM | You can bet on the loosing side anytime you want :) |
| Dwarven Beserker03-05-04, 09:24 PM | where can u find stats for those characters? |
| kedi03-06-04, 03:27 AM | Jarlaxle vs Artemis Enteri Overview on stats: Artemis CR= 18, Jarlaxle CR= Unknown Advantages of Jarlaxle: Beign a drow (infravision eyes, darkness, levitate [check the high-born drow feat, races of faerun], drow poisoned weapons etc.), beign sword expert enough to lead a mercenary band, being master of tricks, being ruthless, being not-lawful. Disadvantages: Beign so chaotic, being vain. Advantages of Artemis Enteri: Beign a human (+1 feat and extra skills), being highly dicciplened Disadvantages:beign trusted: man-of-his-word. (thats a disadvantage for you know which move he'll make next round, you only have to roll higher), being vain. Simulation: Jarlaxle kicks his ***. |
| Frostbite_Ravenheart03-07-04, 02:27 PM | I cannot belive any of you belive that jaraxle would loose. I am not just saying this beacuse he is the coolest bad-ass in all the drizzt series but he is always prepared. If you were to let him know he was about to fight artamis then he would be prepared. Even if he couldent win he always has a list of 101 ways to escape. He may be cocky...or prehaps thats just a stratagy. Pwent though...Pwent is a specalized person. He could kill thousands of orcs like nothing. He could charge a group of ogries like nothing. Thats how he was raised...a shield dwarf in the north...a battrager at best. However good ol' zak is ment for a one on one against great people. He was the "assasin" of the very powerfull priests when he house went to war. Yes prehaps he could take on hundreds of orcs or a handfull of ogres like nothing but...lets not forget...he taught drizzt everything he knows about fighting! Again drizzt versus Jarlaxle. Drizzt is like pwent...he is from the north, hence he is used to fighting hordes. However he is also like zak who is used to fighting one on 1-6. A deadly combination. Jarlaxle however is unique. He has more training then people think...I dont belive that he is all magic items. I think the magic items are what make him so cool...but I think its his training that made him so great. So if my theory of his training is true then even if he had less training then drizzt he would win. Why? Beacuse he would be trained in 1v1 pluse have magic items. Come on twinkle is a joke and icingdeath is great against demons but is hardly a true magic items against a drow. Sure drizzt got his panther but any non-magic-user-with-alot-of-magic-items-aka-a-jack-of-all-trades worth there salt will have a dispell magic item on them. Bruenor and Wulfgar...now that would be a fun fight to see. I think the problem is, is that wulgar has gotten weaker I think in the comming books and bruenor has got only stronger. True wulfgar does have a nasty magic item but bruenor knows this and would wait for Wulfgar to stupidly attack (dwarves are smart, smarter then humans if you ask me and wulfgar is pretty stupid ) by throwing the hammer then would charge wulfgar before he got it back. Obloud? I cant seem to remeber him though...I have read all the books up to a thousand orcs but my memorys funny. -Frosty |

I haven't seen any stats for Pwent or Jarlaxel. |
