Would a thread on a FR-based webcomic be okay to post? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Well, I tried to ask about this in the "thread permissions" thread in the Boards Business forum, and - unfortunately - never got a clear answer on this. Also tried PMing people in the know-how of the board rules (including a WizO) about this. No clear responses from ANYONE. (NO OFFENSE INTENDED TO THOSE WHO TRIED TO RESPOND.)

What I'd like to know - once and for all - if I can post a thread in the Faerunian People & Places forum on stats for the characters from Dungeon Crawl Incorporated, the webcomic at the top of my signature. Since DCI is based in the Realms, I thought it might not be a problem, but I'd want to know for sure first.

Since I'm actually the person who rights the current stats for the characters and so few available people are around to consult me on 3.5e statting, I thought I'd ask for help here. I'm in close relation (at least online) with the writer of the comic, so he has no problems with me referring elsewhere for help.

Overall, I'm asking if I have permission to post and get consultations on Dungeon Crawl Inc. stats once and for all, so that I don't have to keep pestering alot of people about it. Thank you all for your patience.

I've got no problem myself. I've read Dungeon Crawl (and still do) and find it not only funny, but in some ways, similar to my current group.

We've had some slowed communication going on due to a website malfunction so please bear with us.

I feel bad that you haven't gotten a good response to this yet in other places and I will try and resolve it for you once and for all here. It may take a day or two, but know your question has not been forgotten! :)

Thanks in advance for your patience.

I find Dungeon Crawl quite similar to one of my groups as well. It is very freaking hilarious and one of the best comics I have read. It is absolutely gut-busting.

Ok here it is. Unfortunately, the answer is no. It has to do with who's intellectual property is who's. Because that's such a tricky thing, we've got to keep wizards boards for wizards only items.

Enjoy the comic in it's rightful place!

Ok, where's it's rightful place, then? And where should I go for expert 3.5 Edition advice?

It's rightfull place is the website it's at. You go here for your 3.5 advice.

Besides, it's in your sig, so it's not like it needs to be posted more now.
