What was it?

I'm building an adventure centered around destroying a Rouge Eidolon. For those who don't know what one is, it's a statue imbued with power from an evil deity and later went insane. They have no facial features other than a large holy symbol of their deity, that bleeds continuously. My adventure centers on cleaning up a temple of a fallen god, and I figured Xvim would be a good choice, but I need to know what symbol is bleeding on the Eidolon's face.

I'm pretty sure that Xvim's symbol was something like Bane's. I can't remember exactly because I don't have the book in front of me, though.

Don't go Rogue Eidolons, Iyacthu Xvim wasn't insane anyway. At least I think he wasn't. Go Crenshenibon. That's gotta be one of the coolest artifacts ever to grace the Forgotten Realms setting.

Uhm... Can you fight Crenshenibons? If so, where is their entry? If they're not 3rd edition, I'll stick with Eidolons.

Besides, Xvim didn't go insane, he just died.

Crenshenibon is an intelligent artifact that controls peoples' minds.

I hope it's in some 3e FR product somewhere, but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

Meh. THanks for the suggestion, but I wasn't really looking for that type of adventure. It was more like "Stop this crazy thing from killing people and sacrificing them to a dead god."

Crenshenibon = The Crystal Shard.

You know, the very first Drizzt novel. It was a featured artifact in the story.

Maybe one of the olf Realms products available for free download here on the site mentions Xvim's holy symbol. "For Duty and Deity" or something.
