| Kazzaroth Pan'theon11-25-04, 11:28 AM | Well, all characthers (PC) in Faerun are unic. But wich is most unic in YOUR opinion wich you had played/witnessed during your adventure? This is not contest, this can be thinked as list of unic persons of Faerun. You of course mention is he alive/dead and how he died if he/she died? The msot unic hcar what I have DM was halfing fire genasi, Chaotic Neutral (sligthly evil guy) Cleric of Kossuth. In Race's of Faerun was mentioned a halflng fire genasi clan in Calishman and from there player got idea to to play such. We created the stats and it was very fun characther to play. Unfortunately the cleric of Kossuth filled bubble tub whit petrol and activated into max power the tub because he wanted to test this wondrous magicall powered tub. So the cleric of Kossuth was drowing into the tub because powerfull curtains created by the bubbles. He even begged his god to help him. Ironically Kossuth set the petrol in the tub into flames so that cleric could heal himself whit Healing Fire ability. But, cleric drowned before he managed to do that XD. |
| Ramar Aulinvox11-25-04, 02:44 PM | The most unique would have been an 18 level leprecaun mage in the 2nd edition. He enjoyed finding evil looking knights who thought that they were bad and turning their black armor pink with purple poca-dots and making their mounts look like pretty pink horses. He was a little crazy but really fun to see in action. |
| Arwyn_Severisk11-25-04, 07:07 PM | Mine would have to be Lord Backfire his nickname of course formally known as Denwyn Ammalithryn a 20 wiz of cormyr who was the on the blacklist of the good regent Alusair for his practical jokes. A custom spell of his was a cantrip that made a farting noise occur from the viscinity of anyones butt, which he did to Alusair at a war council. This spell is what led to his downfall when he cast it on manshoon in a confrontation and then teleported away only to have manshoon personally kill him. Another custom spell he was famous for on patrols in destroying goblins was a spell that erupted a cone of fire when he bent over and farted the fart was the sound effect to the spell. |
| dragonheart11-26-04, 01:50 AM | my most unique wasn't a single character but rather a series - all from the same family/clan - they were know as the Bodarfs after the first one a friend played - all fighters with 2 special circumstances: they had to have a strength of 17 or greater and an intelligence of 6 or less. each time one was killed the next would have a personal mission to destroy as many of what ever killed the last one as possible before getting killed off. If memory serves one of them actually made it to 9th level before getting wiped out :P |
| Jarlaxle_The_Rogue11-26-04, 08:25 AM | My Waterdhavian swashbuckler (he was actually a fighter, but he was very swashbucklerish). He had been a pirate for several years before he was made to walk the plank, he found his way to shore and spent several years in Waterdeep, where he made friends and lived with a Noble for a long while. He ended up heading to Lantan with these priest guys (Lauzites) to aid an adventuring party in a mine the lauzites had uncovered for 1000gp. The greatest part was that he spoke with a scottish accent, always had something to say and carried around his lucky gold piece, which he refused to part with, the gold piece was the first gold piece he ever stole. |
| Aznar Thrul11-26-04, 05:54 PM | its not a unique char but he was funny: archer gold elf lvl 2 who was always sayin that human are stupid and elven are the best the problem is there was a human barbarian in the group and was like elf hater soo my gold elf had no chance to defend himself from the fist of the babarian, he got kill by hobgobelin after sayin that he could take all of them witout problem, got a critical miss, and hobgobelin just shoot me with a critical hit...anyway this char was fun to play cause of his flaw(he needed to look at himself at least 1 hour per day with a glass sayin that he is the best cause he is an elf...) anyway my most unique would be my minotaur lawful good who just want to defend his peasant from evil( he's a paladin but retired soo he has his farm and the DM hate my farm soo hes always attackin it grrrr) :D :fight!: |
| boyecho11-26-04, 06:24 PM | i started long ago with a cleric of mask from skuld. 3 levels in, through some in depth gaming, we held a map that mask prized highly, but we didnt know we had it. therefore turning mask against my cleric. so, he decides to fall into the arms of the all-loving moon-maiden selune. now at level 29. what makes him unique is that with every phase of the moon, i've dictated different spells, actions, role-playing, and equipment he can use. as an example, new moon, he wears a black mask over his face with his white cloak pulled over his head, he uses no armor [except his bracers of the moon], only fights using his unarmed strike feat, and uses his cloaked sphere of radiance and darkness spells to full affect. mostly very deadly attack spells and reaching into his powerful necromancy spells. his alignment shifts to chaotic good full moon- he fights with his 'moontalon' light mace, wears his armor, uncovers his face/head and uses divination spells and more spells to incapacitate the enemy rather than outright kill him. he also champions good more and is in a more laid-back attitude then. his alignment shifts over to lawful good. the phases inbetween he hovers around neutral good. but he's since calmed down in his highest levels. his son is just as unique. he's a monk that trains from books from the order of the sun soul monks. he venerates deneir [as he is the son of my cleric and cadderly's daughter]. loves to write, keep journals, and draw. his attitude is just like his fathers [even though he has never met him until recently], but he's just an interesting character to play. very withdrawn. has discovered some pretty interesting powers through his martial arts [but thats a lot of history i dont feel like going into] and we're working on some feats and abilities or maybe a prestige class that does some sort of energy healing so he can more effectively heal himself and others to small degree [but slightly better than the monks own ability] he's got a pair of gloves, a soulforge weapon [something the dm created] that allows him to do some fantastic things, but then again, these 'children' were born of characters involved in a very heavy war. these kids are supposed to bring back the balance, so a few of them were given these 'weapons' to help. they grow in power as the characters do and reflect their talents and their minds. the whole damn group is pretty unique. these two characters have brought me more joy in playing d&d over my 8 years of playing than any other character. |
| dragonheart11-26-04, 06:50 PM | a number of us who have been playing for many years (Kujie, Aravilar, myself) have developed rediculously (sorry guys but they are - for all of us) powerful and unique characters. mostly they have either become chosen, demigods or something similar and turned into NPCs in our own campaigns because they are basically unplayable much of anywhere else - like the FR Iconic characters they are iconic for the particular campaigns. Mine is Dragonheart a DR0 Ranger 18, Wizard 15, Archmage 1 Chosen of Shaundukul wiht a variety of special powers from actions on other worlds as well (psionics, extra feats and resistances etc.) he started off as a 20th centrury geologist and martial artist and just keeps rolling along like the everready bunny. |
| ClobberinTime11-26-04, 07:38 PM | My new char starting at 7th level is a ftr-2, bard-4, cleric-1 of oghma, I'll probably end up at divine champion-5, ftr-4, cleric-4, bard-4 eventually, Its a good roleplay bit as bard and cleric of oghma fit well together, I'm NG, and using a sword and board style, longsword and large sheld. I'm aiming for a lions shield to use someday (mithril of course), and probably going to go for some shield feats like shield charge and shield stun, With heroism at bard 4, and divine might, look out world here I come. He is cut from the legionary mode and uses a breastplate. Hmm now that I'm thinking about it warrior skald might work out better than divine champion, gonna have to think about that one. Oh yeah my spells are mainly for combat buff... A legionary skald, goovy... He is from Tethyr and it still hasn't been unified in this campaign, He is overwhelmingly impressed with Cormyr, and hopes to make Tethyr as like that state as possible when he gets to sufficient level, when he hears of Zaranda starting to unify tethyr he is going to head back there like a bat outta hell to help... Orphan trained by the priests of oghma but too bored by scroll work... |

| Osk Goblinreaver11-29-04, 09:38 AM | Ok I had this High Dale thief in 2e with the high dale thief sniper type kit out of wizards and rouges of the realms. I had a chance to use his special sniping ability twice in the campain, first was with a mage slaying arrow against a watch wizard in some port we were trying to make a fast gettaway from, rolled a 1, we were on a ship that was sailing away so needless to say I didn't retrieve the arrow, the second time some monk like dude knocked the arrow out of the air. The most fun I had with the character was constantly hitting on/harrasing another character in the group who had like a 20 chr (the player always played extremely attractive female characters) and my archer was BUTT ugly! hehehe It provided some great roll playing... |
| Gheralt11-29-04, 05:47 PM | My most unique character was probably Dafyd Ghennen. This fellow was human, as most everyone in this particular setting was. He was a colorblind tombstone carver/mason/socialite in the town in which he lived--good enough at it to keep a wine cellar and own his own home. Now, since he was colorblind, he often wore garrishly mismatched clothes, most typically, a pink shirt, blue trousers, and red boots. He had some skill with a rapier, and he typically wore a chain shirt under his clothes. Dafyd struggled with alcohol, and finally quit cold turkey after a serious bout with the jaundice. Finally, there were constant rumors of him practicing necrophilia, and he did absolutely nothing to stem the rumor, and often hinted (falsely) that it was true so as to keep the women of the town off his back. In one funeral in particular, Dafyd, having a cruel sense of humor, soaked the body of the deceased for a few days in a tub full of the highest proof alcohol he could get his paws on. Needless to say, the pyre burned for days. :D --Gheralt :fight!: |
| WizO_BigSister11-29-04, 07:01 PM | As this is aabout player characters and not about NPCs then it doesn't belong in the People & Places forum. Casts “Teleport without error to correct forum” Please check out the Forum Organisation ~ What Goes Where (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=172646) thread. Thanks  |
| Cole Deschain11-29-04, 11:19 PM | Most unique? That would be Giles Greyskin, a second edition character with some bizzare personal habits. Giles was a half-steel dragon (from a certain very useful Dragon Magazine article, in isue #206 or so) thief/mage to whom I assigned the most worthless proficiencies, spells, and thieving skill points I could find. In our primarily rural campaign, Giles had excellent skill at Pick Pockets and Open Locks. He was utterly worthless at moving silently, hiding in shadows, climbing, or detecting noise. He had extensive social proficiencies, and almost no survival skills. His spells were geared towards human foes (Charm Person, Fool's Gold) when most of our opponents were animals or monsters like Owlbears. The ranger made fun of him. The druid would shake her head in horror as Giles blundered through the underbrush. The forest gnome despaired of Giles pulling his own weight. And in the long run, he was still the most useful character in that particular party, simply because he looked scary as hell. He smelled a bit like a dragon, so that the natural enemies the party encountered would often flee. Once he grew his claws, he could even terrify the occasional goblin by making faces at them. And once he got his breath weapon, he rapidly became a borderline twink, since the half-steel dragon's breath weapon is damned nasty. Good old Giles. Met his end rather gruesomely, when he draconic aroma attracted the ire of Balagos. Poor fella. |
| Chosen Of Bhaal11-30-04, 05:28 AM | Illynx'ota, The Crazy Wyrm of the Sword Coast Millennia ago, a pair of Prismatic dragons hatched a new son, Illynx'ota, a particularly inquisitive prismatic dragon. As a wyrmling Illynx'ota explored his continent (the one to the south of Maztica) before he began to hone his natural sorcerous talent purely to find out what he could achieve by doing so. As the years passed Illynx'otas power and inquisitveness grew in leaps and bounds and by the age of 1000 Illynx'ota had effectively gained 30 levels in the sorceror class (in addition to his natural draconic magic) and was without a doubt the most powerful being on the continent at the time. Wishing to explore the rest of Toril, Illynx'ota, at the age of 1034, Illynx'ota travelled to Maztica. It was here that Illynx'ota learned from a talented mage in the sparsely inhabited Maztica the power of the archmage, and over a period of 15 years had gained 5 levels in that class. Illynx'ota now became interested in the gods, and more specifically, their power. He directly challenged a deity of the Maztican pantheon, and nearly succeeded in destroyed them, but was prevented when a number of fellow deitys intervened. As a result of the Illynx'ota was imprisoned in a special prison demi-plane that was inescapable. Illynx'ota spent around 3000 years in the plane before harnessing enough power to break out of the plane. In that time he had honed his sorcerous powers (now level 55), and had grown into an advanced great wyrm. Millennia of solitude is hell upon an inquisitive individual such as Illynx'ota, and it became readily apparent that the Wyrm was completely insane. He had emerged to find a totally different Maztica to the one he had left, with invaders to the east plundering Mazticas resources. Illynx'ota, appearing as a human, stow away on a ship returning to the east to find out what life is like in the far reaches, and it is so that Illynx'ota arrived in Amn with a mad laugh and a glint in his eye. He promtly left the ship and has been travelling the Sword Coast ever since, making an obvious attempt to avoid divine being even whilst obviously insane. Note that the prismatic dragon in an epic dragon found in the Epic level handbook, and that most of the stuff about the continent to the south and about maztica is purely homebrew because i know little to nothing about it. The CR of Illynx'ota is a whopping 125 (+9 for his 3 advanced age categories) |
| ArnimThayer12-02-04, 03:35 AM | So many characters... so little space. Should I tell you about the 3E Tiefling paladin, ashamed by his heritage, who served valiantly in Azoun's Crusade and retired in Cormyr and now sponsors adventuring groups of noble heart in the Hullack Forest area. Or Tareth Callion Nightblade, a 2E Bard Blade who by sheer chance ended up the possessor of a drow version of a Moonblade that would become his namesake, and a Harper hero of the Sword Coast. Or Alaric WindSong, an elven cleric of Shaundakul, whose quest for the lost Moonblade of his family lead him and his companions from Evermeet, through Waterdeep to Myth Drannor. Nay, let me tell you of Arnim Thayer, a barbarian of the North, who became an adventurer for no other reason than an excuse to avoid his nagging wife from an arranged tribal marriage. Arnim Thayer, who aided by a wizard and cleric companion slayed an old red dragon by dropping tousers and saying "Oogah, Boogah." (Okay, so the wizard and cleric had more then a little to do with it!) Arnim Thayer, who defeated a flesh golem in unarmed hand-to hand combat with one punch thanks to a Girdle of Storm Giant Strength and a natural 20!) Arnim Thayer, bane of taverns and city jails from Waterdeep to Zhentil Keep (he would lay waste to one and then the other!) Arnim Thayer, who had commissioned built an Everfull Pitcher of Mead. Arnim Thayer, who created a continuing question of game mechanics with "How much damage does a dwarf do? Okay, I hurl the dwarf. Now how much damage does a halfling do?" Arnim Thayer, teller of tales, most of which began "once, when I was a little boy..." :D |
| beanor12-23-04, 04:32 PM | i think mine would have to be a Now CN drow Wiz17 Rog4 that carrys around a beholders eye that he cut from the beast himself. convinced that beauty is in the eye of a beholder. but the gods have moved him form the world and placed him on a new one. where he is now happyly dateing a goddess... (i think it was something to do with the undieing rose he gave here... or did she think that his whole eye of the beholder thing was cute.. i really dont know what was going though the DM's mind) |
| Zireael01-13-05, 08:38 AM | I think the most unique is mine. CG Ftr 10/elf paragon 10/sor 3/Bladesinger 8/Divine champion of Mielikki 5. I'd see if i wrote correctly. |
| Chosen Of Bhaal01-14-05, 03:04 AM | Elf paragon 10? |
| HomebrewedMonster01-14-05, 05:36 AM | A gold dwarf psychic warrior10/dragon samuria4/Infused2. This crazy gold dwarf simplely named Link has a brass dragon companion (dragon cohort), has been permenantly enlarged, has a smoking eye (from the one dungeon adventure, Test of the Smoking eye), and is infused with a Brahil eldrin (the weaker one that turns into a whirlwind). His current character goals are to trap a Remhorrez in his forge, get to 20th level to shape the plane he controls, and destroy evil wyrms...and when I say wyrms I mean age catagory. |
| Mookie3701-14-05, 01:33 PM | It's been a while since I PC'd, so most of the unique characters I like don't come from me My freind Paul played a psuedo NPC named Dreaga. He started as a bard, dual class (2e) into a crypt ranger, got his soul broken by Lord Soth, got reincarnated as a half drow/half gnoll (crazy DM) and then got turned into a sword. One of my PC's in the game I'm running now is pretty interesting. He's of Faerunian decent, but hails from Kara Tur, thinks he might be a king, trusts everyone he meets and is so Lawful Good it hurts. Seriously, he negotiates with everyone he meets before they try to kill him. Oh yeah, he's in love with a drow woman, and they're in Cormanthyr forest. HA! The best one, by far, is another one from my freind Paul. Malvoleo the Mad. This is how he introduced himself to my Paladin when they first met. He worked it out with the DM that he was truely insane, in that he could never be made sad. A good thing when the drow tried to torture us and they gave up on him, but a bad thing at the funeral for my character's parents. His wand of wonder shrunk him to one half his size in our first adventure and he never got fixed. His familiar was named Ferret, it was a mink. He eventually became a Wild Mage (2e style, not the craptastic 3.5 one). his crowning glories were killing the death elemental sent after him the Deck of Many Things by using a prismatic sphere scroll, and creating a spell that took one day to cast, lasted and hour and turned the sky of an entire planet, not matter the time of day or cloud cover, into a bright yello smiley face (that's what got him literally kicked out of Ravenloft). |
| Dardin_DelSundin01-14-05, 07:41 PM | Prespor Winterbuckle Strongheart Halfling Level 6 Rogue/2 Bard Prespor I guess wasnt a "Unique" Character as far as races go, however he had a affinity for Rabbits. Well one day while traveling he tried to charm the socks off a Female Wizard so he could let loose her stock of Rabbits that she used for dinner (Can we say DM TRAP written all over it?). Anyways, he got caught and she devised a Lycanthropic Disease just for him, he became a WereRabbit, every full moon he became a Dire Bunny doomed to be all cute and cuddly in looks but be a turd in attitude. Shamed he retired in Lluirwood with a tribe of Ghostwise Halflings which helped him with his problem.... He is still a WereRabbit, however the Ghostwise keep an eye on him. The fact he was turned into a WereRabbit I guess is what makes him memorable. :) |
| CuttinCurt01-19-05, 02:38 PM | Most Unique? well well.... It would have to be my Elven Fighter/Mage I ran back in the early 90's 2nd edition. Time of Troubles was upon us, I was an apprentice to a disquised purple dragon in WaterDeep, after being raised by humans and half-elves. I worshipped Correlon and Mielikki as my gods, and I ended up getting a small portion of thier power to hold during the time of troubles, and the chaos that ensued along with the other avatars hunting me down was quite something. But what makes this one character so unique is that after the time of troubles I was made a hero god. I became the god of the halfelves as my protfolio started, and I then traveled the realms earning worshippers as I went. It was the wierdest but most unique character I had played. Although some might laugh at god like status, I had only a few extra powers at hero level, and my home plane was the prime, so I could be killed forever on my home plane. It was not like I was invincible at all. It was quite the opposite actually. I never had a harder time than in this campaign, keeping my character breathing till the next game session. ALthough explaining it all is lengthy, lets just say my character was unique, and I look back on him with envy for I have had only one or two characters in the last 20 years of RP with AD&D that have even come close in comparason. Not that he was the most powerful, but he was the character that offered the most challenges in all aspects of this game, and I dont think I can top him... CC |
| bobsan01-25-05, 01:48 PM | Being a GM for years on end, my list of PCs is slim at best. My most recent PC was a "Battlerager-in-training" (1 Brn/3 Ftr) named Dooley Pwent. Like alot of battleragers, he wasn't all too bright but steadfast and loayl to the end. Mainly, I played the character temporarily because one of the players (A former GM) wanted to try his hand at running the campaign a bit with the group. So his character took a sabatical and I jumped in as Dooley. Like alot of battleragers, combat is their thing. And since I didn't really have alot of time to build an extensive back history or the like (Since I was going to take back over after a short while), I just made as many interesting memories for the players as I could. The best one would be, as refered to OOC by one of the players, 'breaking the hamster of the party's common sense'. Two of the characters in my game are a pair of moon elves who have been traveling together for some time. Both had the same mentor (for different reasons - a different story all together) and the female (Hidoreal) was sent along with Valithor (the other elf) to keep an eye on him. Apparently, by no action of his own, he's developed a reputation for being 'evil'. Not chaotic per se, but someone they can't leave by himself. So myself and the 2 elves were resting outside of Nemse while several members went into town to procure supplies. Dooley is one who's easily bored and, when he heard the elf mention something about shooting apples, he got an idea. After getting money from Valithar, he wandered into town and purchased a small bushel of apples, wandered back outside, and prceeded to attack those apples to his helmet and spiked armor. He then ran around as valithar tried to shoot apples off of him. Dooley considered this Orc Arrow Dodging training. His logic was if he could dodge Valithar's expert aim, he could dodge the aim of clumsy orcs. Poor Hidoreal was at such a loss of words for what she was seeing, she almost joined in with her throwing knives. The other dwarf of the party (Gahn) came out of the front gates, bore witness to the events outside, and decided to drown his woes in the nearest tavern. this ended up putting a kink in the nightly plans since it too all night. but the GM thought it was worth watching the RPing. ^_^ |
| Rith'tar d'lil Isto01-25-05, 07:59 PM | I usually DM, so actually I see a lot of interesting characters. In my current campaign, there are two very interesting characters. Indo Kor, the cleric. He started out when the player was looking at the other chars, and said: "We don't have a cleric, and I've never played one before" He ended up making an aasimar cleric of Kossuth from the Nelanther Isles. He relies on Charisma more than anything, and the party has avoided many fights because of it. One of the other chars is a godless human from Lantan, and the cleric is constantly trying to convert him. The cleric also claims everything the party does "for the glory of Kossuth" The atheist being from Lantan, he is rather upset that of the cleric's 4 followers (so far; I am having him gather them by RPing), 3 are gnomes, and one of these has become a cleric of Kossuth. The cleric is rather megalomaniacal, and dreams of someday solidifying the Nelanther Isles into a nation under him. He is also attempting to gather information about Netheril so that he and the party's wizards can construct a citadel for himself. The other is Dragon Run Brimstone, so named because his naming ceremony was interrupted by a dragon. He is usually Chaotic Neutral, in a harmless sort of way, but is extremely mentally unstable, and every time he awakes he rolls to determine his new alignment. he is a tiefling who made friendly contact with some slaadi once, and now dreams of enslaving at least one Slaad Lord. His exploits so far have included: Casting Summon Monster while in free-fall. (Scratching the summoning circle on his arm with a dagger.) Knocking out and accidentally kidnapping the tiefling secretary of an insane asylum that he had infiltrated. (The accidental kidnapping involved a portable hole) And then there is the character I am actually playing. Bran Nathos, human cleric/stormlord of Talos. Comes of a family of pious tailors; when young, he went off to the wildlands to try to be a druid. Couldn't concentrate or get in touch with nature, but he really liked the idea of balance. Is now convinced that, in order to bring about a balance, he must bring chaos and destruction to the overly-orderly civilizations of Faerun. (Basically all of them) He still holds a deep reverance for nature, and focuses his destruction on mainly cities. He finds the science of alchemy very useful in his efforts. Currently, he is in the city of Westgate, and his most recent exploit was casting Earth Reaver in the center of the city. (220 foot circle of exploding earth and buildings :) High Alchemy and Disguise=fun. |
| Kelmech_Ra01-25-05, 08:38 PM | Oh man, I have had many crazy characters, but here is one of the wierdest: One of my wierdest characters was a dwarf from Mulhorand named Kelmech_Ra(lol), who followed the god Sebek, the Egyptian god of crocodiles. The campaign really had no point...it was a caffiene induced session that couldn't be stopped. My character decided to leave Mulhorand to find the lair of a slain dragon, to see if anything was left of its hoard. On the way he and his small group were ambushed by a band of orcs. We were captured but managed to escape when our mage loosed a fireball at the orcish camp...luckily missing our group. The orcs then chased us into a river where a large group of Sebek's followers ambushed and killed them. We then traveled with them to a shrine of Sebek in Adderswamp, but we never made it. The DM, finally overcoming the effects of the caffiene got bored and had a fang dragon wyrmling attack the group. We killed it easily and continued on-until momma dragon came looking for us. Alas, that was the end of Kelmech. The mage of the group teleported away, but went insane and sold his soul to a demon so he could summon the demon in the middle of Selegaunt. The effects of caffeine can be comically dangerous....so DM's every beware! Caffeine can create insanely funny games-until the caffiene wears off ;). |
| ginafae197101-25-05, 09:17 PM | For the life of me, I can not remember the name of the character as I only played him for a few gamin sessions before I went to Korea. Anyways, what made him so unique was the RPing. He was a Fighter. He had like 17 or better in STR, CON, and DEX and 10 or less with the rest. The truly different thing about him was I made him so that he was deathly afraid of the dark. He carried 20 torches, a lantern and at least 6 flask of oil on him at ALL times. The world we were playing in was a homebrew one that we had gated into in hopes of moving from one world to the other. We were part of the advance party of the Army. At one point we had to go down unto a well to search the tunnels below. Well the General was basically threatening our lives if we did not go into the hole. Well needless to say, my guy was the last to go down. And only after he threw like 10 torches down the hole, hitting another of the characters. |
| Grepp the Mighty01-27-05, 07:08 PM | Moolah Jawjammer, Human Female Fighter (achieved 5th level) She was a 400-pounder who kept weapons hidden in the folds of her fat rolls. She had the feat, Ravenous Appetite, which gave her +2 Str, +2 Con, -2 Dex per binge. The duration of the ability increase was related to the amount of food consumed during a binge. One pound of food provided 3 rounds of ability increase. Consuming one pound of food for Moolah was a move-action. Moolah met her demise at the hands of a Raksasha, who successfully cast Fear upon her. In terror, Moolah ran into a quicksand bog that the Raksasha had hidden with a Silent Image. As Moolah struggled to free her enormous girth from the quicksand, the Raksasha appeared out of the mist. He then came to the edge of the bog, set his foot upon Moolah's head, and said "Die fat human," as he pushed her underneath the quicksand. Thus ended Moolah. To this day, the name Moolah brings roars of laughter amongst our gaming group. :P |
| A Chosen of Mystra01-28-05, 05:30 PM | My character in my signature. Wonderful character... Think its the best I've ever played with... The sheet also is nice :D Have around 5 extra sheets with keywords to our adventures and missions :P |
| Tekas_Tinkered_Dragon01-29-05, 09:58 PM | My most unic charecter was Timmy the Unic. *snickers* Now as for my most unique Faerun charecter, I'd have to go with my current since it's just kinda screwy. CE Pixie Rogue 5/Assassin 1 who is a noble of the Unseelie Court and worships the goddess of pain and torture Talviatar. He recently aquired himself a small Keep which he calls the Pixie Fortress with plans of using the parties gold, which gets stored in his strongrooms, to finance an army to spread the influence of the Queen of Air and Darkness. Not to mention he is the adopted child and pet of a female Drow Rogue. She thought "Pixie" was cute so she struck a deal with him that he would be her adopted child and pet if she can come up with her wait in magical gems before she dies. Of course with millenia long lifespans pixies don't care about a few hundred years. I mean a week is like a minute to them. He also has a pension of backstabbing party members, kinda like killing the Cleric for the vampire just so he could get more gold even though that was the parties only Cleric. Well, he never healed me. My backstabbing reaches so far that a demon Wizard made me his friend through magical compulsions then I backstabbed him to death when I saw he was losing. :p |
| Muddman01-31-05, 09:41 PM | My favoite and most unique character was Sube (lvl 20 LG monk) Really positive and happy, always looking for a good laugh He was about 400lbs of fat, although he was strong as a raging dragon (34 with his belt) he was also really good at hiding (he disappeared into fat air!) and "killin evil is my job" :) I had alot of extra money, so I bought a cubic gate with one side that went to celestia, took a dip into the silver sea every morning just for kicks! Also got to meet Shandakul, and shook his hand ("when else am I going to get a chance like this") Then there was my drow fighter who got turned into a vampire by the guy who runs Undermountain, he didn't like me very much because I took off his left arm (that didn't last long, damn rings of regeneration). Stuck me out in the desert of Calimshan and let me go mad with thirst until the sun rose, baking me like a potato!) |
| Dansan02-03-05, 09:07 AM | My favourite character ever was a 2nd edition psionicist human female, who was rather seductive and had telepathic powers. Even at 5th level, she was a force to be reckoned with (5th level and having Domination proves 2nd edition psionics were far too strong). She was a manipulative ***** who actually sold out the party more than once, and played them out against each other. It was a great shame when she died. Now, this was all in another setting entirely, but I had a thougth about bringing her back from the dead. Her spirit having descended into the Abyss, I had her return as an NPC in my own Forgotten Realms campaign, and behold the succubus/fiend of corruption who also happens to be an ambassador the a new realm founding in the Stonelands. By the gods I love how that woman works each and every one. |
| Petrankov02-04-05, 02:18 PM | The most unique character I played was in 2nd edition. He was a half elf Psion/Wizard/Cleric of Mystra. I believe 7th level in each class. He had a spell or power to take care of any situation. My driving goal was to destroy 2 Dragons who had taken over Ten Towns in the North. The game stopped though and I never got a chance to finish his goal. My most obnoxious character was from the Scarred Lands. I played an evil Cleric of Chardun (basically Bane in FR) who was a zealot and tried to convert EVERYONE. NPC's and PC's alike. The group plotted to kill him because he was so annoying. In the last adventure we ever played I got the last laugh because the 2 characters plotting against me went down and after the battle I finished them off with inflict wounds spells and told the rest of the group they didn't make it :D The most unique character one of my players has run was a Psionic Lich. It was a very interesting character, he got changed because of a plot twist and remained good for a while. After the characters went to Ravenloft he kept getting his body destroyed so he would have to find a new body, which slowly turned him evil. He finally turned completely evil upon returning to the Realms and will be reappearing as an enemy NPC in a few short months :P |
| Balthor02-06-05, 01:46 AM | Well. I would have to say our's is Conn. One of the founding members of the Fangs of the Grey Wolf. He is now a 6th lvl Barbarian. He is from the Wolf trine of the Uthgart people. A Werewolf. He wears a jaunty hat at all times( he got it from our swashbuckler, also a founding member.) He likes to tell everyone about his infections, is in love with Midnight/Mystra, will eat ANYTHING. He once was caught gnawing on the leg of a horse we found dead. His Int score is 8, and he plays it well. You cannot go one session without laughing at his actions. We were forced to join forces with Cyric ( pre- goddom) and after killing one of his Zhent's horses in the battle before joining, asked the Zhent if he was mad at him. When the Zhent told him it was just a horse, Conn told him, " Well I'd be pretty P.O.'ed if someone had just killed MY lover". Like I said, He's great!!! |
