I'm currently running a campaign with focus on NPCs of Zakharan descent and I'm asking anyone for help in adding some flavor, like customs and traditions, their calendar, prominent locations, the local patheon, or if possible a good map and prominent NPCs in that setting.

I appreciate any info anyone can give on this. :)

Nearly every Al-Qadim accessory provided some particular aspect and/or detail about Zakhara. You can download the PDFs for just $4 US at paizo.com:- http://paizo.com/store/downloads/wizardsOfTheCoast/aDAndD2/alQadim

Alternatively, there are two AQ accessories available for free download right here at WotC also, which provide some cultural details about the region:-

* Corsairs of the Great Sea -- http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/tsr9449corsairs.zip

and

* Caravans -- http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/tsr9459caravans.zip

Both are 15MB+ downloads.

Reading this short thread and unable to find anything else on the subject, I wonder: would the FR messageboard be the right place to discuss the Al-Qadim setting, as it is technically part of the FR, or would this be better placed at the section on older settings, like, say, greyhawk, planescape etc. ? Same goes for Maztica.

We've had plenty of Kara-Turan, Zakharan, and Maztican discussions here before -- without much problem.

Even though they're older resources... they are still considered part of the entire FR product line. So, talking about them here is still largely valid.

Sorry it took me so long to get back. Been a busy few days at work. Anyway thanks for the assistance. Didn't know that the Elemental Lords influence extends all the way there, or they were that big there. Shouldn't have been surprised I guess, seeing the influence of genies in their societies. Thanks again. :)

Thanks for the reply. I didnīt want to use the "wrong" messageboard, so asking for advice seemed the right thing to do.
