Any news on what might have befallen them?

Not really. We do know that Fzoul and Manshoon (I think) are still around, though.
Lord Karsus

-Well, given that the Shadovar completely control the Anauroch and are the puppeteers controling the Sembian puppet government, I would think that the Zhentarim are a bit weaker than they currently are. I'm sure that the organization still exists, albeit with a different/altered 'mission statement', and objectives if you will.

People will start calling them "Zhentil Kreeps". ;)
Lord Karsus

02-18-08, 02:42 AM
-Their friends will call them Zhentil Peeps.
MarkusTay63

02-18-08, 03:26 AM
If they switch to Judaism, will they be Yentil Peeps? :D

We've heard that the Zhents are still around from Richard Baker.

Bluntly, they're better villains than the Shades ever will be.

They're just cheap immitations of the Black Network.

I hope Zhentil Keep is a proper kingdom now, though.

-They took full advantage of the chaos caused by the Elven Crusade, fortifying the Moonsea region, and knocking out Maalthiir in Hillsfar, so the odds are looking decent for that.

I really need to buy the Grand History of the Realms.

-What I referenced takes place in the Last Mythal trilogy, and the Super Adventure trilogy, Cormyr, Shadowdale and Anauroch.

Oh, we just started Cormyr (but I think we;re gonna start over, cause some stuff got really screwed up in our group)

I wonder if Fzoul is still the Chosen of Bane and this explains why he's still around. Is Manshoon another clone or how did he survive?
Lord Karsus

-If he's still around, which he shouldn't. The Chosen of Bane template prevents effects from aging, but doesn't grant immortality. Of course, I'm sure he has a horde of Potions of Longetivity.

Is Manshoon another clone or how did he survive?

-The original Manshoon is dead. His death triggered the Manshoon clone wars.

Isn't the Vampiric Manshoon still around?

If he is, he's basically immortal.

-Yes, yes he is. Orbach the Night King of Westgate.

I could swear Rich Baker mentioning that Fzoul will be around in 4E, but with a different role.

Begun, the Clone Wars have.

I think maybe Fzoul should clone himself, too.

Then we'll have a clone war.

:emp: :mage: :fight!: :v: :fight!: :mage: :emp:

Oh, and Semmemmon, too, along with Scullya Darkhope. (I think that's her name).

-Sememmon probably does have clones of himself, stashed somewhere. Isn't the current Sememmon a clone?
Old Sage

His body is a clone created by Manshoon and is in fact the sixth one that this evil archmage has bestowed upon Sememmon in their long association.

-Yes, which is why he's "lost his fear of death", and possibly love.
Old Sage

02-24-08, 08:28 PM
Perhaps.

It should be noted that events such as the sacrifice of the Blackstaff have opened his eyes to the choices he could have made that would not have led to him becoming the Lord of Darkhold. So whilst he has many regrets and is a changed man in the truest sense of the word, he is too proud to admit his mistakes and instead hides behind a cold, aloof exterior.

Fzoul has eternal youth from the aid of Manshoon according to RoZK.

'Clone' sounds too Sci-Fi for me... I prefer to think of them as Humonculi. :D

I don't mind the term 'clone' in a fantasy setting. But I've also used 'construct' to refer to some types of clones in my Realms as well. 'Living construct' is also somewhat applicable.

You could argue, though, that that's what everyone is.:P

'Magical vessel' is also an alternative term -- for Alias-styled clones.

Where can I read about this king?

-There's so many variations on the theme.

-Orbach? Lord of Darkness has the most information on him and the Night Masks.
Old Sage

And Cloak & Dagger as well.
Lord Karsus

-And, neither one of them are easy to get, truthfully. Gotta order both online.
