| Puggle Halfwine12-03-07, 04:25 PM | Hey guys, I'd like to request Kara-Tur for the Asia-Pacific region, after a spontaneous outbreak of D&D haiku which were written on our mailing list. :) Cheers, Dave. |
| draxynnic12-03-07, 08:22 PM | Slightly delayed post, eh, Puggle? The last one I added to the Great List of Haiku was about two weeks ago... Besides, you delivered it incorrectly: Give us Kara-Tur So that all the haiku can Be in character |
| JJeff12-03-07, 09:45 PM | Besides all of us In the region are Asian And it thus fits us |
| gomeztoo12-04-07, 02:31 AM | More fun can be had when a character you play that is not like you ;) |
| draxynnic12-04-07, 08:23 AM | Two times we have been Granted lands of ice and snow A new climate please? We're not all Asian More Australians are of Caucasian descent. (Had to check whether "Caucasian" was three syllables or four for that one...) |
| TheBlackFlail12-06-07, 11:08 AM | $20 says Kara-Tur, Zakhara, Maztica, etc... aren't going to be anyone's regions. |
| Surgebuster12-06-07, 04:18 PM | $20 says Kara-Tur, Zakhara, Maztica, etc... aren't going to be anyone's regions. Hey, I'll just check my bank account to see how much I can add to that total... So, any takers for a $20.57 bet? ;) Joe |
| draxynnic12-06-07, 09:45 PM | Be pessimistic Or show some optimism No harm in trying. |
| _m_12-07-07, 12:29 AM | i'm afraid that i have no idea what on earth this kara tur is. |
| draxynnic12-08-07, 07:46 AM | It is not on Earth It is an oriental Faerun locale. |
| tombollis12-08-07, 08:49 AM | Races and classes Differ from those in the west; Kara-Tur won't mesh. |
| The Ubbergeek12-08-07, 01:48 PM | If Australia have Kara-Tur, Quebec can have Maztica? :) |
| tombollis12-08-07, 06:15 PM | If Australia have Kara-Tur, Quebec can have Maztica? :) I think we Canucks should get the northern half of the continent to the west. :) (They apparently are developing the rest of the world.) Tom Bollis |
| The Ubbergeek12-08-07, 07:02 PM | I was semi-serious, but that could be cool.. It's near-'virgin', nothing much is said - and good for a 'distinct world' campaign for a dm. |
| ylisbanah12-18-07, 07:01 AM | I just have one major comment....it seems bulking everything under asia-pacific region as controlled by australia seems unfair. Most ausies are not asians, and those of us who are had difficulty dealing with the australian triad during the LG campaign....we were feeling left out. I think to best divide the are further. |

Most ausies are not asians, and those of us who are had difficulty dealing with the australian triad during the LG campaign....we were feeling left out. I think to best divide the are further. As I have replied to your similar post in another thread, I will keep this brief. I'm led to believe that the amount of rpga tables, much less LG tables being ordered in the Phillipines (and the vast majority of SE Asia) was tiny compared to many other areas of the world. D&D players in the area were not really playing core LG adventures, much less Perrenland regionals, so it is difficult to apply blame to the Perrenland triad for the low table numbers. I know of at least one senior player who travelled to Malaysia and the Phillipines regularly who was desperate to get an LG game happening to no avail. A LG Circle of Six member lives in Hong Kong and as best I know, can't get a regular game, much less a thriving community started over there. Also, anyone wanting to apply for an admin position was more than welcome, regardless of nationality or residence. Do you know if anyone in your local gaming community applied for a position? If not, that may be a reliable indicator that SE Asia may not have been able to support its own region, as I don't know of many people native to the area (ie: not US military gamers stationed overseas) who are playing regular rpga games. :) Cheers, Joe |
| GreenKnight12-26-07, 08:10 AM | The Shaar it should be For you Aussies, and Luiren For New Zealanders Just my personal opinion, of course, but I think The Shaar/The Great Rift/Luiren area would be great for Australia/etc. |
| Surgebuster12-26-07, 06:31 PM | Just my personal opinion, of course, but I think The Shaar/The Great Rift/Luiren area would be great for Australia/etc. I would *love* to have The Great Rift in my region. Joe |
