Hey guys,

I'm seriously considering putting my hand up to write for my region (Asia Pacific) in Living Forgotten Realms, much as I did in Living Greyhawk, but a few things have been holding me back. I'm not sure if they've been addressed elsewhere or not, but I was hoping the powers that be could answer a couple of questions for me...

1) Given that LFR canon == Realms novel canon, how are LFR modules (which typically have a short turnaround time) going to match canon with Realms novels? If, for example, I'm half-way through a module for my region and a well-respected Realms author decides to write a novel set in that area (and the two have conflicting canon <NPCs, locations, events, whatever>), what would be the RPGA's response?

2) Is it possible to collaborate with well known Realms authors to create cohesive stories with solid canon, or is it going to be a case of "never the two shall meet"; 'territories' divided up or restricted somehow?

3.a) Will LFR authors be restricted in the scope of their writing? Will we be restricted to heroic modules or are we able to write epic/paragon modules which, understandably, will begin to tread on Realms author's toes?

3.b) Further, will module authors be completely banned from touching anything an Realms author has written about or are those still "available"?

4) In the event of conflicting (published) canon, what will be the RPGA's resolution policy? (Eg module deals with the slaying of a specific green dragon, while a novel deals with its magical conversion to a red dragon...)

5) Will the RPGA be appointing a "canon master" or "canon triad"; someone or a group of someones who work with the regional triads, possessing a vast knowledge of Realms canon (current and past) who can keep authors abridged of upcoming changes to their region? I can see the potential for many Realms fans to apply for this spot, should it exist.

6) Any other thoughts on how LFR authors will be treated?

Right now the only person who can answer these questions is Chris Tulach (or other official WotC representatives), not even the LFR regional or global admins.
