In another thread, Dave Christ mentioned that the LFR tickets at DDXP are selling very quickly.

I am playing one of the LFR adventures, but I want to be sure to mention that I am doing so only because I am very interested in trying the 4.0 rules. I don't have any intention of playing LFR. At least one of the people I'm playing with in the LFR adventure at DDXP feels the same way.

I wanted to find out whether other people signed up for LFR adventures at DDXP are, like me, test-driving 4.0 without the intent to participate in LFR.

I also want to make sure the LFR administration does not equate registration for the LFR adventures at DDXP with enthusiasm for LFR. For me at least, this is not the case.

I'm on the fence about LFR. I enjoy the RPGA, but I'm more of a D&D Campaigns person.

I'm tempted to start an LFR character, just to see if I can convince someone else in my area to judge while I keep running the next D&D Campaign. :)

However, I doubt the people running the LFR/4E preview modules have blinders big enough to assume that *all* the traffic at their tables is for Living enthusiasts.

In fact, I'd imagine there will be at least a few people coming to the show who aren't even RPGA members - people looking JUST to get sneak peeks at 4E. :)

Since it's an "RPGA-only" show, that's saying something. :)

We definitely will have a few people just checking out 4E. The adventures are going to be only "lightly dusted" with FR specifics anyway.

I don't think that the play numbers of the 4E preview adventures have much to do with the play numbers for Living Forgotten Realms. The real measuring stick will be play at Gen Con Indy and the other usual places (cons, retail, home, gamedays, online).

No plans for Living Forgotten Realms will be altered based on the play numbers at a show where preview adventures were run for a huge RPG release. The Forgotten Realms is just the spoon on which this 4E morsel will be delivered.
