| JuzaOfTheClouds12-12-07, 07:26 AM | Hi, is it possible to cast a fireball, flamestrike and general area spell if you can't see where you want the point of origin to be? For ex. a character is surrounded by fog and say "I cast flamestrike 30 feet in that diraction." See that you don't need line of sight for such spells, it is teoretically possible. Is it really so or there are specific rukes (where can I find them)? Thanx Juza |

| JuzaOfTheClouds12-14-07, 10:16 AM | My question was more about how can a character have an idea of distances if he is "submerged" into fog and can't see 5 feet away... (I personally have already been into fog where you can't see more than 1 meter away, and I can say you have no idea if you walk 5, 10 or 20 meters...)... |
| Stigger12-14-07, 05:12 PM | Seems kinda like wasting a spell, but I don't see why a spellcaster couldn't cast something so long as they knew where they were in relation to their surroundings and could mentally imagine where they wanted the spell to land. If they couldn't do that, I'd probably use the grenade miss chance thingy whose name just went out of my head completely... |
