| Jax_Nightstalker03-06-07, 04:11 PM | With the death of Gilgeam and the invasion of Unther by the Mulhorandi the Faerunian gods and the Mulhorandi gods have been making inroads into the hearts and minds of the people of that torn land. Tell me what you think, will a time come where both these Pantheons may have to merge into one? And with that we know there will be an all out fight between some gods due to having the same portfolios. |
| MerrikCale03-06-07, 09:13 PM | it seems more likely that the Untheric pantheon will become extinct |
| BrennonGoldeye03-06-07, 09:32 PM | The Untheric is extinct. Not one God left. No doubt there will be shiftings in the DR levels amongst some of the Fearunian and Mulhorandi. Maybe a death or two. I see more of a melding than a war, but hey, I also thought Eldath had manifested an avatar in Berlin in '89. Oh well, c'est la vie. |

Oh well, c'est la vie. I would like to see the Untheric pantheon god of death resurrected. What was his name? The current lord of death is a dork! Doesn’t like undead! How lifeist of him! |
| boards03-07-07, 06:38 AM | Isnt Hoar still going? He's an Untheric god (Assuran?) who has branched out slightly. |
| BrennonGoldeye03-07-07, 08:22 AM | Untheric pantheon is extinct! Yes, very.:( I would like to see the Untheric pantheon god of death resurrected. What was his name? The current lord of death is a dork! Doesn’t like undead! How lifeist of him! That would be Nergal. Double dead. ;) Isnt Hoar still going? He's an Untheric god (Assuran?) who has branched out slightly. Hoar(Assuran) isn't Untheric. Ramman was, until Hoar killed him. As a side the death of the Untheric pantheon directly preceded the removal of the Imaskari planar barrier and the return of mortal rule in Mulhorand. :) Edit: After looking around I'm not sure about that last response. It appears that Hoar(or at least the part of Him that is Assuran) is of Untheric origin. Gotta go dig through books now. Ah wait, I have a better idea......<casts sending> |
| Old Sage03-07-07, 09:07 AM | Hoar is indeed the Faerûnian name for the Untheric Assuran of the Three Thunders. Hoar's entry in Powers & Pantheons explains this fully. |
| BrennonGoldeye03-07-07, 10:04 AM | Sending is just one of the best spells.:D |
| Tarus03-07-07, 10:31 AM | I kind of like the fact that the current god of death dislikes undead. Logically speaking, if you are the god of the dead you would want people to 'stay' dead. It really makes little sense to say the god of the dead wants people raised back to life (or unlife) |
| Bonzai03-07-07, 10:38 AM | In my realms, Hoar has returned to Unther, and reclaimed his birthright as the last God King. He's united the nation behind him, and has been making great progress in purging the forieners from his land. In a nut shell, the people of Unther were too used to Gilgeam being in charge. Though his rule was oppressive and tyranical at the end, he at least provided security and stability in the region. Stability is what the Untherians (if thats what you call them), are craving the most right now. So Hoar has stepped in and filled the void. He has made Shuruppak his chosen, and sent him off after Tchazzar and the rest of the followers of Tiamat. Hoar is the god of retrobution after all, and Shuruppak ached for nothing more than taking vengence for his fallen master. So he has been keeping Tiamats followers very busy. With some one to rally behind, they have struck back at Muholand, and are making progress in driving them out. Thats whats going on in my relams anyways... |
| BrennonGoldeye03-07-07, 10:48 AM | Unther revived? Sounds fun. Extra fun with Hoar at the helm. :) |

Logically speaking, if you are the god of the dead you would want people to 'stay' dead. It really makes little sense to say the god of the dead wants people raised back to life (or unlife) Some death gods like to curse people with undeath silly. A lot of Pantheons have Death gods that favor undead! Kel is really boring an uninteresting! Plus if you want to be a True Necromancer the only person you are left with is Valsheroon or whatever his name is. Kel is lame. He died during TOT and he should have satyed dead! Hey Bran?! Doesn’t Nergal have a tomb somewhere around Unther where they buried his divine manifestation? |
| Evil-fuma03-07-07, 06:15 PM | Pretty much, Unther is dead, No way for it to come back, simple as that, The pantheon is dead, and Hoar is a demigod and would get crushed by even some of the weakest of the Mulhorand pantheon. And unlike most people, i don't see the Mulhorand pantheon getting incorporated into the Faerunian Pantheon for a long, long time, if ever. They have to many worshipers(even more with Unther comeing under thier sway), their worshippers show little if any interest into even learning about the Faerunian gods, and, though there are some rifts betwean them, The Mulhorand pantheon is to well organized and would put up a combined front against any incursion into their lands by the other gods. the Fareunian pantheon basicly cant get 10 dieties of any power together on the same thing without infighting and schemeing against each other. |

| Old Sage03-07-07, 06:48 PM | It's nice to see that there's still plenty of interest in Hoar. ::snicker:: |
| Sliced_Mustard03-07-07, 08:50 PM | I like the gods of unther. and I won't allow them to die off so easily. perhaps worship of the dead gods will pick up (with liberal use of that feat that allows one to be divine caster of dead gods). if enough people try to bring back the old ways, they may revive a god or two. |
| BrennonGoldeye03-07-07, 09:07 PM | Hey Bran?! Doesn’t Nergal have a tome somewhere around Unther where they buried his divine manifestation? I'm thinking you meant tomb, as in place for dead bodies, not tome, as in book. Yes, he does, and a certain cleric of Gilgleam has beaten you to the punch on the tomb-raiding. Cute girl Nidi, just way to serious.;) The Mulhorand pantheon is to well organized and would put up a combined front against any incursion into their lands by the other gods. True true. Very well organized. At war with everybody, but organized.:fight!: It's nice to see that there's still plenty of interest in Hoar. ::snicker:: Yet another reason for nervousness. :twitch: |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron03-08-07, 01:18 AM | I can wait for the Moringing Lord and the Horus-Re to fight it out! I hope they off each other so we can bring back Netheril’s sun god!:D |
| Stigger03-08-07, 02:48 AM | Amuanator was kinda crap though... Lucy. Still prefer Lathander... hard not to with those tight pants of his, and the whole spread the seed thing. |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron03-08-07, 03:09 AM | Amuanator was kinda crap though... Lucy. Still prefer Lathander... hard not to with those tight pants of his, and the whole spread the seed thing. I will swallow your soul if you call me Lucy again! |
| Stigger03-08-07, 03:11 AM | Don't blame me, was Brennon who gave you that one if you look up a bit... ;) Just think of it as my friendly way of informing you of the fact since you seem to have missed it. |
| Jax_Nightstalker03-08-07, 04:02 PM | I can wait for the Moringing Lord and the Horus-Re to fight it out! I hope they off each other so we can bring back Netheril’s sun god!:D LLKN I totally agree with you. the so called Morning Lord needs to go and Horus-Re is a waste for space. Set needs to band with some evil gods from other Pantheons to off Horus-Re and any other foolish god that would try to protect him.;) |
| GothicDan03-08-07, 04:14 PM | I like both Lathander AND Amauntor. That's probably in large part because I like Apollo so much. Also, zomg teh hawt. |
| MerrikCale03-08-07, 05:18 PM | Still prefer Lathander... hard not to with those tight pants of his, and the whole spread the seed thing. anyone else troubled by this? How about you Lucy? |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron03-09-07, 03:04 AM | Eat a dick Cale! Call me Lucy again and you die! Amauntor IS cool. Horus-Re and the Morning Lord are boring and lame!:P |
| BrennonGoldeye03-09-07, 08:20 AM | Eat a dick Cale! Call me Lucy again and you die! My,my. At this rate 2 more "Lucy"s and we will be LLKN free. :plotting: |
| GothicDan03-09-07, 01:17 PM | It seems like Lucy dislikes pretty much anything with a 'good' alignment, or something resembling it. That's just creepy. I expect to see him in the newspaper for being a murderer one day. |

I expect to see him in the newspaper for being a murderer one day. Everytime you guys say Lucy I get this picture of Lucy Ricardo(if you don't know who that is I'm not explaining it lol) sitting at a computer screen and now every time I read one of his/her posts I hear her voice lol hehe. BTW, maybe this is common knowledge, but is Old Sage Ed Greenwood?? Sorry I'm just curious? |
| GothicDan03-09-07, 03:27 PM | He's not. He's just a very astute sage. ;) |
| Stigger03-09-07, 04:58 PM | But in the event of a disappearance, he may just be slotted to impersonate him until Ed gets back... |
| Old Sage03-09-07, 07:20 PM | Ed of the Greenwood I am not. And there are likely more qualified Master Sages of the Realms who would more effectively full the shoes of the Great Bearded Sage, than my humble self. ;) Instead, consider me, as ever, just a diligent servant of the Realmslore. |
| Stigger03-09-07, 07:27 PM | Well, maybe with some cheekpads and a few disguise checks we could make it work... |
| Lord_Lucien_Karsus_Necron03-09-07, 08:52 PM | My,my. At this rate 2 more "Lucy"s and we will be LLKN free. :plotting: You will never be free of my oppression BrennyBrowneye! |
| Renvale99903-10-07, 06:19 PM | He's not. He's just a very astute sage. ;) How come I have the feeling you guys are messing with me and he really is. I mean how do you get Old Sage as a screen name unless you know somebody at wizards?? |
| Old Sage03-10-07, 08:00 PM | They're not "messing" with you. I'm not Ed Greenwood, seriously. As I indicated above... I'm just a servant of the Realmslore. I don't specifically work for WotC either -- though I do know one or two individuals involved in RPG development. And no, I can't say who they are. As for my screen name, my reasons for selecting "Old Sage" will have to remain my own for now, though I will say that I had no help from anyone at WotC when selecting it back in Sep. 2001 -- I didn't even know anyone at Wizard then. It was the name I wanted, and it was available. Simple as that. Well, not entirely... ;) |

Hopefully it’s not another Realms shaking event. |
| Old Sage03-11-07, 08:24 PM | There is significantly more to the story, yes. Though, most of it would likely be uninteresting to just about everyone else, except myself, the Lady K, and perhaps George Krashos. Parts of that story do touch on the Realms, though I can't say which parts or when. Sorry. |
| Stigger03-12-07, 12:47 AM | Tease... incorrigable tease... |
