| wizzzzzard04-24-07, 05:52 PM | I have a newly levelled 7th level cleric in my group. He is a cleric of Mystra, with the Spell and Rune domains. He wants to know if he can choose Rary's Mnemonic Enhancer in his 4th level Domain slot. He has no wizard levels whatsoever. The spell description says Wizard only, but why would the spell be on the list, if Mystra wouldn't grant it. What do y'all think? Would you let him have the spell? |
| Stigger04-24-07, 05:54 PM | I'd let him have it. I think the 'wizard only' part is mostly in reference to the idea that sorcerers and others who cast spells spontaneously can't use it, rather than being a specific No-One-But-Wizard thing. |

| Bloodtide_the_Red04-26-07, 11:37 PM | A cleric can natural cast all the spells listed on thier spell domain list. Note that only the domains in the PH are listed in the spell descriptions. None of the other spell descriptions say 'Spell 1', for example see Mage Armor, the 1st level spell domain spell. BT |
| Mad Mage04-26-07, 11:59 PM | None of the other spell descriptions say 'Spell 1', for example see Mage Armor, the 1st level spell domain spell. For those that may need further clarification, Mage Armor is a spell in the Player's Handbook, while the Spell Domain is a Forgotten Realms product, so the PHB doesn't list it as a spell for the Spell Domain, obviously due to the Spell Domain not being in the PHB. |
