| Shar_the_Black07-30-07, 10:49 PM | Howdy folks, two quick questions.... Does Asmodeus (the arch-devil) have any symbol used to identify himself? And also, are there any active cults dedicated to him in the Realms? |
| Eli_the_Tanner07-30-07, 11:03 PM | Hello there Shar_the_Black I believe the symbol of Asmodeus is a clawed fist gripping a skull, he has been noted as using the image of his ruby-tipped rod or even just a pentagram. As for cults in the realms, I think he is generally revered by the nobility of certain houses (in secret - of course). Think cormyrian houses, similar to the one that reverses a semi-sentient Sphere of destruction...Sphere of Entropy?!? I believe that one is actuallly an aspect of Tiamat. That cult and others like it are detailed in Lords of Darkness. |
| Lord Karsus07-31-07, 12:20 AM | -The fact that Davoren the Warlock was a worshipper of Asmodeus, and belonged to a cult of like-minded individuals proves that he does indeed have cults scattered around in Faerūn. |
| sleyvas07-31-07, 12:23 PM | Eric Boyd recently did a dragon article on demon and devil cults in the realms. You might try there. |
| Lord Karsus08-01-07, 08:05 PM | Eric Boyd recently did a dragon article on demon and devil cults in the realms. You might try there. -Issue 355, I believe. |
| Old Sage08-01-07, 08:24 PM | Note, however, that Eric's article only covered demon cults for Baphomet, Dagon and Graz'zt. |
| Purple Dragon Knight08-04-07, 01:24 AM | Check the recent article which discusses Warlocks... it discusses the cult of Asmodeus (which is led by Asmodeus' daughter...) |
| Zanan08-04-07, 07:54 AM | Check the recent article which discusses Warlocks... it discusses the cult of Asmodeus (which is led by Asmodeus' daughter...) Hm ... if that is Glasya, she is surely creating her own cults these days? Methinks that is also said in FC II. |
